Nigerian Oil Mogul, Jide Omokori Linked With The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Reality Star Porsha Williams
Porsha Williams’ love life has been making headlines all year. Immediately following the finalization of her divorce from ex-NFL star Kordell Stewart, rumors started circulating about an alleged love interest.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star reportedly walked away from her marriage with the clothes on her back. However, several media outlets reported she had no problem with that because of her new man – Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mbasogo, the son of a wealthy African dictator. Mbasogo was rumored to be the man who picked up where the former Pittsburg Steeler left off. But, Porsha refuted the dating rumors.

A patient in a Dallas hospital has been confirmed to have the deadly Ebola virus, News 8 has learned.
That person has been held in "strict isolation" at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas as he or she was evaluated for possible exposure to the virus.
This is the first case of Ebola confirmed in the United States. The Centers for Disease Control will hold a news conference at 4:30 p.m. in Atlanta regarding the diagnosis.
The CDC will decide whether it is necessary to move the patient to another facility. There are five medical facilities in the U.S. that have high level isolation facilities. The CDC will also investigate how many people the patient has had contact with.
In a statement issued Monday night, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas said the patient was admitted based on symptoms and "recent travel history."
The hospital, located at Greenville Avenue and Walnut Hill Lane in Northeast Dallas, said it's complying with all recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and the Texas Department of Health to ensure the safety of other patients and medical staff.
Zachary Thompson, the director of the Dallas County Health and Human Services, said Tuesday morning the Centers for Disease Control was mobilizing as if the patient had tested positive for the virus.
Thompson said Dallas County is ready to care for the patient.
"This is not Africa," Thompson said. "We have a great infrastructure to deal with an outbreak."
The World Health Organization said it has confirmed more than 3,000 Ebola-related deaths in West Africa during the current outbreak, which has spread to five countries: Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
Fort Worth physician Dr. Kent Brantly, who became infected while working in Liberia, recovered after being moved to a hospital in Atlanta.
Earlier this month, President Barack Obama announced that the U.S. would offer military and medical help to combat the disease in West Africa which has now reached epidemic proportions.
President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Ayo Oristejafor yesterday reiterated that he is not a party to the $9.3 million arms cash saga even though he owns the jet that ferried the money to South Africa earlier this month.
He also explained that he leased the jet in “order to ameliorate the cost of maintenance of the aircraft.”Read ore after cut.....
In the midst of Pastor Chris and Anita Oyakhilome‘s divorce saga, yet another controversy has emerged.
Anita Oyakhilome’s name has been excluded from the newly released October-2014 edition of Rhapsody of Realities, Christ Embassy's monthly devotional, which she usually co-author. Her name and photo are completely missing from the front and back cover of the latest edition.
The devotional, which was started many years ago by the now estranged couple, usually had both their pictures and writings in the pages.
Also, the back cover of the magazine which usually had a picture of the couple now has only Pastor Chris on it.
Reports also state that there is currently no trace of Anita’s picture or byline in the entire publication.
A highly respected female church member, a Pastor precisely, now plays a very key role in the Believers’ Love World Nation the umbrella body that is in charge of the publication of Rhapsody of Realities.
The lady at the helm of the affairs is Miss Yemisi Kudehinbu, a name that rings a bell among every Christ Embassy Church Member, on account of how visible and prominent she is, concerning the church affairs.

Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, is set to go back to school. He will be attempting to get a higher degree in Christian Theology.
On Tuesday, Obasanjo will formally enrol as a graduate student at the headquarters of the National Open University of Nigeria in Lagos.
In 2009, two years after he left office, Obasanjo obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in 2009. He will now be working towards a doctorate degree, beginning first with a Masters degree.
Premium Times reached out to the former president who confirmed the news.
He said it was important for him to make some commitments towards achieving his aspirations in life.
“I’m going back to school because I have to have something to aspire to in every endeavour of life, I always aspire to something new in my farm. I do that in my international activities. I do it in my writing. I do it in the improvement of my academic work which helps to sharpen my brain and strengthen my faith.”
When asked how he was going to cope combining his studies with his tight international engagements, Mr. Obasanjo said he would take advantage of the flexibility of the National Open University’s system.
“Fortunately, the Open University is flexible enough and I will definitely be able to cope. I was able to cope when I did the Post Graduate. I was also busy during the period,” he said.
Newspapers and Magazines of different media houses worth thousands of naira were for three days destroyed under the Flyover Bridge New Parts Market, Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, by men of the Nigerian Police Station Ogidi following the vendors refusal to continue parting with some money to the police.
Chairman of Onitsha Newspapers Directors Distributors Association (ONDDA) Mr. Jude Oguzie said
“sometime in July this year we got a report from our vendors selling under the bridge that they were being harassed by policemen for selling their papers and magazines under the bridge, and I went with my Vice Chairman and Secretary Mr. Christian Ikpe and Elder Emma Uwakwe to meet with the police.
“The police told us during our meeting that they were under instruction from the Idemili North Council boss not to allow anybody to sell papers under the bridge, when we probed further to know their reason for preventing our vendors, the policemen told us that they can only allow our vendors if we will be paying them N5000 weekly.
“We reminded them that vendors are among the people on essential duties that are not disturbed even during elections, population census, national and state sanitation exercise and even time of curfew but they insisted on being paid, we however, told them that we will present their demands to the media houses to see if it will be approved.
“We did not know that the vendors later entered into agreement with the police to pay them N2000 weekly after initial payment of N5000, but when it became very unbearable to them they decided to stop and the police swooped on them and destroyed their papers”
When we got this latest information about the destruction of our papers by the police, we went again to meet them and to our greatest surprise the police men recognized us and ordered the vendors who gathered around to leave the scene for them to discuss with us, and they told us that they cannot allow our vendors unless we pay them the N5000.
Oguzie said the vendors have been paying the police N2000 since June this year and they decided not to pay for last week and the police got angry and resorted to destroying their papers, they did the first day being Tuesday 23 and we went to the Local government to report and we were issued with a letter permitting but the policemen ignored the directive and came the third time being on September 27 to destroy more papers and claimed that their order came from the Area Commander in charge of the place and no more the Local Government.

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Monday said the government would follow due process in the investigation of the September 12th building collapse at the Synagogue Church of Nations, Ikotun, near Lagos.
Fashola made the statement while receiving members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners in Ikeja.
He said the government would not yield to pressure from some Nigerians, who wanted immediate action on the incident but would act methodically on the issue.
Fashola said most of the pronouncements made on the incident did not reflect what actually happened and called on people to stop making comments that could confuse the situation.
“On this issue, we are going to act methodically. We are going to act in a civilized manner. This is what we discussed at the State Executive Council today.
“We are not going to, without evidence, say this person has done wrong. Investigations are always painstaking and are done through scientific processes.
“This is the way that every civilized society develops. And we must assume that all the necessary provisions of law will be complied with. That is our track record here and nothing less will happen in this case,” he said.
Fashola described NITP as the state’s partner in progress and said his administration would continue to work with the association in ending the menace of building collapse in the state.
Steve Onu, NITP National President, commended Fashola for his many interventionist strides in the state.
He said the association would continue to partner with the state in the area of infrastructural planning and environmental development.
On the Synagogue building collapse, Onu urged the state government to ensure that a thorough investigation was carried out to unearth the culprits of the disaster.
“This is a good opportunity at getting insight into the incidence of building collapse and know whether it happened by technical or natural occurrence,” he said.
A Porsche 918 Spyder reportedly owned by Michael Werkerle, the CEO of investment firm Difference Capital and star of CBC's Dragon Den has burned down to ashes at a Canadian gas station.
Witnesses state that gas spilled during the car's refuelling in a Toronto gas station and ignited via the twin exhaust pipes. Those pipes protrude upwards from the engine compartment, rather than exiting out back like most other vehicles. The near-$900,000 Porsche was captured engulfed in flames by various onlookers with their cell phones who could do nothing about the fire. Liberia's chief medical officer, who is also a deputy health minister, has put herself in quarantine as a precaution against Ebola after one of her assistants died from the disease, the government said on Saturday.
Bernice Dahn is the latest senior West African medical official to be directly affected by an outbreak of Ebola, which has killed over 3,000 people as it spreads across most of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
"She has placed herself under self observation due to the fact that her special assistant contracted the virus," Isaac Jackson, Liberia's deputy information minister, told Reuters.
Jackson said that the government praised Dahn's decision to come forward to be monitored after potentially coming into contact with the disease.
"If everyone were to do what Dr. Dahn has done, Liberia would be free of Ebola," he said.
The latest figures from the World Health Organisation show that the death toll from the worst outbreak of Ebola on record has killed at least 3,091 people, out of 6,574 probable, suspected and confirmed cases.
Liberia has recorded 1,830 deaths, around three times as many as Guinea or Sierra Leone, the two other most affected countries. Nigeria and Senegal have had confirmed cases of Ebola but appear to have prevented it from spreading.
Although relatively common in Central Africa, the haemorrhagic fever has taken West Africa by surprise, spreading into heavily populated areas and across borders before authorities were able to coordinate their response.
Already weak national health care systems have been over-run by the disease, which has infected 375 health care workers in the region, killing 211 of them.
Sheik Umar Khan, the doctor leading the fight against Ebola in Sierra Leone, contracted the disease himself and died in July.
Foreign governments and international organisations are dispatching funds, supplies and personnel to the region amid warnings that the disease could claims tens or hundreds of thousands of lives before it is halted.
When Amber Rose tweeted the message above and a day later,it was revealed she filed for divorce, it was obvious something drastic happened .And according to TMZ,she actually caught him n the act .Sadly, they say Wiz is not even interested in having her as his wife, thats why he isn't contesting her decision to divorce him
Wiz Khalifa left Amber Rose weeks before she filed for divorce ... and the trigger that sent Amber's lawyer running to the courthouse was an uninvited 2 AM house call by Amber ... TMZ has learned.
Sources connected with Wiz tell TMZ ... the rapper is telling friends there's a simple reason why he left ... "I just didn't want to be married to her anymore."
We're told Wiz moved out and got his own place, and the day before Amber filed, she went to his house at 2 AM and found him with another woman ... and went nuts.As far as Wiz is concerned ... he wasn't cheating. He told friends he made it clear weeks earlier the marriage was over.
It's interesting ... even though Wiz moved out weeks before ... he listed the legal date of separation on his divorce response as Sept. 22 -- last Monday.
We're told Wiz is also convinced ... Amber was secretly banging Nick Cannon -- something they both deny
Actress Doris Simeon and her ex movie director hubby, Daniel Ademinokan had one of the most celebrated marriages in the industry .But to the surprise of many, he left her for actress,Stella Damasus who he now lives with in the US. Doris opened up to Punch
Initially, it was but at a point everything looked rosy outside but not at home. He just woke up one day and decided he didn’t want the marriage again.
I can’t say what actually happened. I did not suspect if he was dating any woman or not because we were the best of friends. I trusted him too. When the problem started, I was begging him for reconciliation. I am an orphan with nobody to run to but his family members, who also tried to intervene. At a point, they fought with him because he stopped picking their calls, even his pastor. Before the separation, I suggested counselling but he promised to turn around for good. He did not. He would leave the house for some days and would not pick my calls. He also accused me of nagging and policing him around. At a point, he came back and told me it was lack of money that caused the problems. As a good wife, I suggested we pray about it. He told me one day that he wanted to go and see his mother and took our only son with him (the union produced a child). I didn’t suspect anything because they usually went out together. That was the last time I saw my then two-year-old son.
But the incidence must have taken its toll on you?
Yes, it did initially because I loved him. It broke me down for about a year but I decided one day to move on. I learnt from my mum not to listen to what people say but maintain focus and I did.
When was that?
That was about four years ago. The boy is six years old now.
Did you take any action then?
If I let it weigh me down, he would use it as a ground to fight me in court. I have not spoken to the boy for about a year now. I am sure that even if he runs away with my child for 18 years, the boy will ask after me. I am his mother. Currently, the case is in court.
Is there room for reconciliation?
I am not ready to reconcile with him.
It is going to four years since we split and I do not see anything wrong in that. Maybe because of the things he said when I sought to reconcile. I wanted reconciliation when the whole thing started but he said it was too late. He never said what the problem was. It was a normal hassle between couples. If he says I cannot force him into a marriage that he is no longer interested in, why would he want to come back now?

Three students of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Agbani, are in critical condition at the the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) after being shot and wounded by suspected armed bandits who invaded their hostel.
The affected students are currently undergoing intensive surgery at the hospital where they were rushed to in the early hours of Saturday. One of the students was shot in the stomach and it was suspected that some pellets of the bullet were lodged in his abdomen for which doctors are battling to remove.
The two other victims were also undergoing surgery at the hospital while efforts were being made to contact their parents.
The Unique Hostel where the incident occurred and other hostels within the Agbani Permanent site of the university, according to sources, have been placed under security watch as it was suspected that the gunmen could be members of a secret cult.
To forestall a reprisal attack, the source said, the management had taken measures to beef up security at the hostels with plain-clothe policemen deployed to strategic locations.
Police spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the armed attack said that preliminary investigations revealed that the gunmen could be “student robbers”, assuring that the police would do everything possible to get to the root of the matter.
He could not say if any arrest had been made but he said that the command was already on top of the situation and would give further details after the ongoing investigations.
“From what we gathered when the gunmen attacked some students at the ESUT Unique Lodge, which is mainly Boys Hostel, there was a stiff resistance by the students who succeeded in arresting one of the gunmen. The arrested gunman alerted his armed colleagues who returned to the hostel and began shooting indiscriminately during which three of the students were shot and wounded,” the police spokesman said.

Obama and Michelle's romantic date night in trendy Manhattan tapas restaurant brings traffic to a standstill[Photos]
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama enjoyed a romantic date night in a small tapas restaurant in New York on Wednesday.
The couple dined at Estela, a tiny tapas-style restaurant on East Houston Street in Manhattan where they ate burrata with salsa verde and bread, two endive salads, and tomatoes and croquettes.
And they even ditched the swanky restaurants at the Waldorf Astoria, where they had been staying in the city for a night at the eatery.
Local residents saw Obama's presidential motorcade speed through the Nolita neighborhood on Wednesday night.
The president's senior adviser Valerie Jarrett also joined them for the night out.
Eyewitnesses told Eater New York that the POTUS and FLOTUS enjoyed a full meal before they returned to their hotel shortly before 10:30pm.
Estela said it was ‘humbled’ by the presidential visit, posting an Instagram shot of the Obama’s order.
The Obamas chose the small restaurant over a host of places on offer at The Waldorf Astoria, including the world renowned Peacock Alley Restaurant, Bull and Bear Steakhouse and Oscar's Brasserie.
Estela, meanwhile, bills itself as being 'designed as an approachable, easy and fun place to go' and says it serves shareable plates of American food with European influences.More pics after cut...

One person was killed and about 20 others sustained injuries when a three-storey building under construction collapsed at Eziora village, Adazi-Ani in Anaocha local council area of Anambra yesterday.
Vanguard reports that the building, jointly owned by Mr. Uche Okeke and his five siblings who are children of the transport magnet, Chief GU Okeke, was at the completion stage when it collapsed.
It was gathered that over 25 persons were working on the site when the incident occurred and at the time of filing this report, one person was still trapped under the rubble.
Okeke, who spoke to reporters said: “It is a sad thing and we are still confused over the incident because we awarded the contract over a year ago to a professional. We have spent millions of naira on the project and we were not in doubt that quality materials were used in the construction.
“One worker was still trapped and we immediately ordered for earth moving equipment from Onitsha to remove the rubbles to save his life.
“We reported to the Police immediately and they helped us in the rescue mission. Unfortunately, the man under the rubble died before he could be rescued.”
According to him, the body of the deceased had been deposited at St. Joseph’s Hospital mortuary at Adazi-Nnukwu.
One of the labourers, who identified himself as Mr. Olisa Obaze, said he broke his knee cap in an attempt to jump down from the three-storey building.
He said: “We were carrying blocks upstairs when we suddenly heard a large crack sound. We scampered for safety and I had to jump from the three-storey building. After the incident, we started calling on our members and realized that one man was still under the debris.”
Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Uchenna Ezeh said that full investigation into the matter has begun.

Jeffrey Okafor is a Nigerian suspected of killing a young rapper and DJ named Carl Beatson Asiedu who was stabbed to death outside a nightclub in south London in 2009,has been arrested in Nigeria.

A UK police source said he's in police custody in Nigeria and proceedings are now underway for his extradition to the UK so he can face charges for the murder.
A doctor in rural Liberia inundated with Ebola patients says he's had good results with a treatment he tried out of sheer desperation: an HIV drug.
CNN reports that Dr. Gobee Logan had given the drug, lamivudine, to 15 Ebola patients, and all but two survived. That's a 7% mortality rate. Across West Africa, the virus has killed 70% of its victims.
Outside Logan's Ebola center in Tubmanburg, four of his recovering patients walk the grounds, always staying inside the fence that separates the Ebola patients from everyone else.
"My stomach was hurting; I was feeling weak; I was vomiting," Elizabeth Kundu, 23, says of her
bout with the virus. "They gave me medicine, and I'm feeling fine. We take it, and we can eat -- we're feeling fine in our bodies."
Kundu and the other 12 patients who took the lamivudine and survived, received the drug in the first five days or so of their illness. The two patients who died received it between days five and eight.
"I'm sure that when [patients] present early, this medicine can help," Logan said. "I've proven it right in my center."
Logan is mindful that lamivudine can cause liver and other problems, but he says it's worth the risk since Ebola is so deadly. He also knows American researchers will say only a real study can prove effectiveness. That would involve taking a much larger patient population and giving half of them lamivudine and the other half a placebo.
"Our people are dying and you're taking about studies?" he said. "It's a matter of doing all that I can do as a doctor to save some people's lives."
Logan said he got the idea to try lamivudine when he read in scientific journals that HIV and Ebola replicate inside the body in much the same way.
"Ebola is a brainchild of HIV," he said. "It's a destructive strain of HIV."
At first he tried an HIV drug called acyclovir, but it didn't seem to be effective. Then he tried lamivudine on a healthcare worker who'd become ill, and within a day or two he showed signs of improvement and survived. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says that theoretically, Logan's approach has some merit. Lamivudine is a nucleocide analog, and other drugs in this class are being studied to treat Ebola.
