Jim Iyke Never Fought Over $10,000 Or Pull A Gun In Public - The True Story
Contrary to the reports that went viral yesterday that Jim Iyke was involved in a brawl in Accra where he tried pulling a gun on another man, Nana Kwesi who invited Jim Iyke to the Cahaya lounge where the incident actually happened, has laughed at “how funny people twist and turn stories around'.
Talking to NigeriaFilms, Nana says the story about Jim Iyke fighting over $ 10, 000 was fabricated.
There was an issue between Jim Iyke and his business partner (name not disclosed) at the Cahaya Lounge (just opposite ex-President J. J. Rawlings house) and not Crave Café as the media reported it.
The issue had nothing to do with Jim Iyke fighting over $ 10,000. Also, Jim Iyke never attempted to pull a gun."
Nana said he invited Jim Iyke to Cahaya Lounge to discuss a water treatment project with him - clean water and chemical treatment of water.
When Jim Iyke got to Cahaya Lounge with his car and parked, another car drove in and parked just behind Jim Ike’s car.
The driver of the car after parking behind Jim, got out and started acting up.
He wanted to attack Jim Iyke but Jim's host, Nana, intervened, preventing the man.
The angry man went back to his car and pulled out $10,000, arguing that he wanted to give it to Jim Iyke if the latter had signed a particular document.
When Nana Kwesi asked him what his problem was, the man said that he was to give Jim Iyke the $10,000 if he, Jim, had signed a document.
The man, who alleged that he is a business partner to Jim Iyke, said he had invited Jim Iyke for a meeting at Royal Fiesta Hotel.
Jim Iyke got there and when he was asked to sign a contract, because the contract was not too clear, Jim refused, saying he needed to involve a lawyer or legal brain to peruse the document before he could append his signature on it.
The man got furious, accusing Jim Iyke of wasting his time and also spoiling his business because there were other people involved who wanted Jim to sign so they can carry on with the business.
Nana and witnesses tried settling the issue at the Lounge, only for the man to go report to the police that Jim Ike had attacked him.
When the police got to the scene, the people around who was also hob-nobing and were eye witnesses to what ensued, narrated to the police that it is the man who rather attacked Jim Iyke and not the reverse.
Tokunbo provides proof she married Dino Melaye in court
Dino Melaye released a statement this week through his lawyer where he did not only accuse his estranged wife of having affairs with young men, he also said he never married her in court.
"These are all ramblings of a woman who is in apparent shock by Dino’s final decision to dissolve their customary marriage. Which was never done in the Registry. Thereby legalized only by the Nigerian views of traditional and white wedding. He never took her to court to marry to her!"
It seems he did. Tokunbo has provided proof. Above is a pic from their wedding in 2003. She also provided a wedding certificate.

Obasanjo Sends Jonathan STINKER Letter,Accuses Him Of Lying, Destroying Nigeria And Promoting Corruption!
An apparently angry and frustrated ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has written what clearly competes as one of the most acerbic letters in modern history to President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of ineptitude and of taking actions calculated and destroying Nigeria.
“Nigeria is bleeding and the hemorrhage must be stopped,” Mr. Obasanjo said in the 18-page letter dated December 2, 2013 and exclusively obtained by PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday.
He said Mr. Jonathan has failed to deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people, stem corruption, promote national unity and strengthen national security.
He said in the letter titled “Before it is too late” that rather than take steps to advance Nigeria’s interest and up the standards of living of Nigerians, Mr. Jonathan had betrayed God and the Nigerian people that brought him to power, and has been pursuing selfish personal and political interests based on advice he receives from “self-centred aides”.
In the detailed letter, dripping of anger , frustration and what appears a genuine concern to rescue a nation on the brink, Mr. Obasanjo lamented that Mr. Jonathan had become terribly divisive and clannish, destroying his own party, polarizing the country along regional and religious lines and ridiculing Nigeria in the comity of nations.

President Jonathan Snubbed At Mandela’s Memorial
Despite leaving Nigeria early for the funeral of late South African leader, Nelson Mandela, President Goodluck Jonathan has been snubbed by the South African authorities at the State Memorial Service of the anti-apartheid leader.
PremiumTimesng reports that an official release of programmes during the memorial service shows that the Nigerian president was missing on the list of world leaders billed to give tributes.
The world leaders who will be giving tributes are:
United State President, Barack Obama;
President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil;
Vice-President Li Yuanchao of China;
President Hifikepunye Pohamba of Namibia;
President Pranab Mukherjee of India;
and President RaĂşl Castro Ruz of Cuba.
Other leaders billed to give tributes are the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon; and the African Union Commission Chair, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma.
Though Mr. Jonathan is not the only head of state that would not give tribute - there are about 90 heads of state attending the funeral, the apparent snub handed Mr. Jonathan also appears to rubbish the enormous effort played by Nigeria to bring an end to apartheid in South Africa.
This was at a time when Western governments were pussyfooting to pressure the apartheid government to renounce its policy of segregation and its brutal abuses against the black majority.
Some Western governments including the U.S. had even designated the ruling Africa National Congress (ANC) as a terrorist organisation, and Mandela a terrorist.
This point was also highlighted by the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, on Monday in a chat with journalists.
There are more questions to answer. When you look at the part of the world where ovation is now the loudest, it was the part of the world the pain was the most vicious. In a very cruel irony, history is being revised.
The people, who collaborated with the government that enthroned apartheid at that time, are the people that are paying the biggest tributes now. But I ask myself: is this not the time for deep reflection? I doubt if any African country expended as much time, as much money and as much commitment as the Nigerian Government.
I was a teenager then in 1976 when anti-apartheid campaign really gained resurgence in every home in this country. Nigeria paid a huge price for what South Africa has become today. I remember the anti-apartheid campaign was at the core of Nigerian foreign policy.
Apart from scholarship given to South Africans, I remember President Yar’Adua met Thabo Mbeki in South Africa and he was telling me about their relationship, which he said was dated to when Mbeki used to come to Zaria for student exchange programme. I remember we did not go for Commonwealth Games because of South Africa. I remember we took drastic measures against the foreign collaborators of apartheid regime and nationalised assets.”

Scientists Find Aggressive New HIV Strain
Swedish scientists have identified a new strain of HIV that appears to progress much faster than most previously identified variations of the virus.
The new strain, known as A3/02, is a recombinant, meaning it is a cross between two previously identified HIV strains. Writing in the Journal of Infectious Diseases, Lund University researchers said that the infection moves from HIV to full-blown AIDS in about five years, nearly two- to two-and-a-half years faster than most previously known strains.
Actress Anita Joseph Is Now Born Again! Now Regrets Her Tattoos
Beautiful and curvaceous Nollywood actress and singer, Anita Joseph renowned for her controversial nature is back in the news. This time around she is not raising the dust about anybody but herself, particularly about her body overly serrated with tattoos.
Anita Joseph, in a chat with WG Anita revealed she is frustrated with her tattoos.
“ I regret my tattoos. It is something I wish I never had” she said “ it’s so addictive. You do one, you would do again and again.
Anita said she has tattoos in six parts of her body: back of her palm, waist, top of her boobs, left leg, neck and arm.
When asked if the tattoos connote anything or mean anything to her, she replied:
“Not necessarily, I just loved tattoos. But that was when I haven’t grown up and never knew it’s wrong in God’s sight”
Anita Joseph confirmed she is now a born-again Christian now and added she has now realised “tattoos are unsightly before God”, even quoting the Bible to back her position.
She said she wished people who are yearning to do so would desist from the sinful act, saying she is ready to clean hers out.
Her desire to speak out against this trend (tattoos) which is most common among entertainers is born out of an encounter with a fan, whom Anita said told her she wanted to have tattoos as Anita’s because she sees Anita as her mentor and would do anything Anita does.
“ She said I love everything about you and so whatever you do I want to do. I begged her not to have tattoos because tattoos are addictive.
She was happy and thanked me for telling the truth. At the end of the day, I was happy I touched someone positively. That told me that whatever I do, someone, somewhere wants to do it, so now I am careful of what I do now” she said.

Telecommunication giant, Etisalat Nigeria, has reacted to Julius Agwu’s 7day ultimatum to the company that it should compensate him with the sum of N100 million or risk legal action over “alleged unlawful and unjustified blocking and/or swapping” of his Etisalat GSM phone number 08189555555.
Julius Agwu had, through his lawyer, Festus Keyamo, demanded N100m after his business line was blocked by Etisalat.
Julius said in a bid to solve his problem, he had visited Etisalat's Abuja office at Hilton to report the matter.
He was attended to by one Miss Joan, who informed him that somebody had swapped his line.
Julius successfully answered the security questions put to him, his line was restored with no airtime balance.
But he was shocked when the line was blocked later on again. And even after his several meetings with Etisalat, they still failed to unblock his line the second time, causing him to lose some business opportunities.
Etisalat’s Public Relations Manager, Chineze Amanfo, while reacting to the allegation through an email sent to PMNews, stated that contrary to the reportage of the issue on the blogs and news sites, a SIM swap was performed on the said line after the requester provided the company’s customer care executives with necessary SIM replacement information, in accordance with laid down NCC regulations and process for SIM swap.
She added that the SIM replacement information includes security and personal requirements to the owner, which the requester provided before the swap was effected.
Subsequently, upon a report made at our office by Mr. Agwu that he is the owner of the line and did not authorize anyone to swap it, our customer care executives promptly restored the line as well as the airtime lost during the swap process.
Etisalat Nigeria is currently carrying out an internal investigation into the SIM swap incident and will refer the matter to the appropriate agencies for further investigation as may be necessary.
We wish to assure the general public that Etisalat Nigeria is committed to the protection of the rights of its subscribers and to continue to provide value adding services to its customers.
We will spare no effort to unravel the circumstances surrounding the alleged unauthorized SIM swap while encouraging our customers and the general public to protect their personal information at all times,” she stated
Ann Njemanze Talks About Her New Husband - 'I Am Older Than Him'
Nollywood actress Ann Njemanze (Domitilla) got married the second time to new hubby Silver Ojieson who is a lecturer, last month, on the 9th of November 2013.
And in a new interview with Leadership Newspaper, she talked about him, her new marriage and ex-husband Segun Arinze.
Excerpts:
What really happened in your previous marriage?
I cannot tell what exactly happened but you see I remember when I was still in secondary school, I
use to gather my friends in Gboko Benue State telling them that my bed will be made of iron and look like the ones we see in magazines and what have you. I had a queen thing in my head. But my ex was a lot older. He did not really give me all those sweet things that I fantasized about. I left my ex-lover because of the differences we had, at a time I found out I could not continue with the relationship so I had to opt out.
Your husband seems so young and fresh, he’s younger than you are obviously?
Ah, yes he is, with few years. My husband and I do not share up to 5 years difference and he is not bothered about it.
Has he ever been married before?
No, he’s never been married, no way. This is his last marriage in Jesus name. He is the only son of his parents too from Edo State.
Do you regret your first marriage?
Regret it? My daughter is taller and finer than I am. She is the headgirl of her school. In less than 2 weeks, she is going for a photo shoot. At 16, she has started earning money. She is writing for a magazine and you ask if I regret it? I thank him (Segun Arinze)!! Without him I would not have met my Silver.
Are you not afraid that your marriage might crash again?
No! I reject it. We have our differences, just like other couples do, but it is not enough to say, we no do again. Before we got married, we told ourselves that divorce and separation are no option.

My Challenges As A Plus-Size Actress In Nollywood – Adaora Ukoh
Nollywood actress Adaora Ukoh shared her experience in Nollywood as a plus size actress with TheMagazineClub.com
Here’s what she said:
I got into Nollywood when it was still a dribbling toddler. And there was a time I actually did think that I was getting the right kind of growth and progression in the industry.
It seemed slow but I was grateful for the jobs I got and I gave them my very best shot
But then…I’m not sure what happened really, but it seemed I met a brick wall, or my career was a stalemate.
I grew from confused to angry to confused again to bitter to sad, and then to prayerful. I realised when the jobs came, they were tied to particular kind of roles that had to do with playing a mother, or an over-fed bitter sister-in-law, anything but the major and glamorous roles.
I’m not even going to pretend and say I shrugged it off. I tried to, yet it still hurts like an open sore.
I know we live in a skinny world, with skinny people taking all the cream. How we got there, I am not sure.
Let’s just say it’s a tough world for plus size people!
And in all of this, I have tried so many times to lose weight, just so I can ”fit in” (not sure what that means anymore) but I have come to realise that I am who I am; what would the world be like if we all had to be slim? Where is the variety of life if God created us all the same?
I was hungry for challenging roles as an actress, and a more focused career that is beefed up with endorsements and sort, just like anyone with proper ambition would think for themselves; and to be hampered because of the way-you-look…aaaah!
It just kills!
But anyway I have gradually grown beyond it, and the healing and complete acceptance of who I am continues despite it all.

‘Go And Die’: Insulted Widow Shuns PDP’s N250,000 Gift
The widow, Joy Ifijeh, who came into the limelight after a video of her begging to be spared by Gov. Oshiomhole went viral and caused widespread outrage across the country, yesterday shunned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) N250,000 gift.
According to report, Mrs. Ifijeh was absent at the launch of an empowerment fund to cater for widows in the state by the state chapter of the PDP at which she was to be presented with the N250,000 gift.
She, however, received Governor Oshiomhole’s gift of N2 million.
Speaking at the event, the state Chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, said they launched the Widows Empowerment Programme because the party had received N1 million since it posted the video clip of the governor’s encounter with the widow on Facebook and YouTube.
He described the governor’s job offer and the cash gift as a ‘Greek gift’ that would not wipe the tears of widows in the state.
However, the N250,000 was presented to Mrs. Pat Erhabor for onward transmission to Mrs. Ifijeh.
Orbih also made a personal donation of N50,000 towards the widows’ fund.
