Shakira Shares First Photo Of Baby Milán
Shakira has released the first photo of her sweet baby boy Milan – and, not surprisingly, it is beyond adorable. The snapshot features the singer’s soccer star beau, Gerard Piqué, delicately cradling the nearly two-week-old infant while giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Milan, who snoozes through his big photo shoot, has brown hair and full lips.
The photo is available on the couple’s UNICEF website, where the charity is accepting donations of $5-$110 in honor of Milan's birth, which took place January 22 in Barcelona.
“We hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations,” Shakira, 36, and Piqué, 26, said in a statement. “Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us.”
While this is the first time we’ve seen Milan’s face, the “X Factor” judge previously teased us with a glimpse of the baby. A photo posted on Piqué’s WhoSay on January 23 was a close-up of the newborn’s feet, which were adorned with custom Nike high-top sneakers that featured Milan’s name stitched on the side.
As for that name, when the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer announced the arrival of Milan, she explained that it means “dear, loving, and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification.”

Beyoncé's halftime show was not to blame for Super Bowl stadium
Beyoncé's halftime performance was not to blame for the Super Bowl blackout that brought the NFL game to a shuddering halt on Sunday, officials from the Superdome insisted on Monday after the embarrassing incident.
The superstar had been seen a likely scapegoat since the electricity to power her routine had allegedly blown the electrics twice during rehearsals.
Questions remain over exactly what caused the the New Orleans stadium to plunge into darkness in the third quarter of the game, with officials simply saying that it was due to an 'abnormality' in the power system.
The problem occurred shortly after Beyoncé's electrifying halftime show, leaving many wondering whether its extravagant lighting and video effects were to blame, while others questioned whether New Orleans' infrastructure was still suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
According to USA Today, a fire alarm went off in the press box in the upper level of the stadium shortly after Beyoncé's set, suggesting that her performance was just too much for the stadium to handle.
And in an interview on Monday, WFAN commentator Boomer Esiason said: 'There was this like electrical buzz sound coming from the ceiling. This was after halftime, it was after Beyoncé. And by the way, Beyoncé blew the electric in the Superdome twice, I’m told, during her rehearsals during the week.'
But NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell countered that 'there's no indication at all' that the outage was triggered by the performance'.

As Nigerians continue to celebrate the victory of the Super Eagles over the Ivorian national team otherwise, known as the Elephant, Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (ANP) has said that their promise of one-week free sex boosted the Eagles victory against Ivory Coast.
In a telephone chat with DailyPost, ANP General Secretary, Jessica Elvis while congratulating the Super Eagles for flying over the Ivorians said they have not forgotten their promise.
Her words: “We are really happy for the sweet victory over Drogba and co. Our free sex promise contributed massively to this victory and I must thank my members for this decision.
Speaking further, a visibly elated Elvis said: “Our target is not to get to the semi final or the final, all we want is the cup and with the usual support of ANP, Super Eagles must fly,” she said.
“We are making plans to send more ANP members to South Africa to support the Eagles for the next match,” she added.
Asked if there would be free sex for the victory over Ivory Coast, Jessica after a long laughter said: “Ashawo, come f’**k, na gold we talk no be semi final.
“Seriously we are ready to declare one week of free sex if they get the gold,” she assured.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Elephants of Ivory Coast in a quarter-final encounter that was played this afternoon in South Africa, with Mba scoring a brilliant winning goal.

What Bothers Me Most About Women is the Rate they Sleep Around Nowadays- Ruggedman
.jpg)
“What bothers me most about women is the rate women sleep around nowadays. It is like all the good and cultured women who treat their men like kings came in the generation of old folks like my dad – the men who were in their 20s some 30, 40 years ago”.

Governor Chime will return in 10 days – Akpabio
With the growing concern over the prolonged absence of the Governor of Enugu state, Governor Sullivan Chime, Akwa Ibom State Governor Godswill Akpabio had on Friday disclosed to Nigerians that the embattled Enugu State Governor will return to the country in the next two weeks.
It would be recalled that Chime left Nigeria for London since September 2012 on medical ground.
The Governor said this while Speaking with airport correspondents on arrival from London, United Kingdom at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos.
Akpabio, who was among the three other Governors who visited the sick Governor in a London hospital disclosed that Chime was hale and hearty and capable of ruling the state upon his arrival.
The Governor who maintained that Chime would return to Enugu State Government House in the next 10 days visited the sick Enugu Governor in the company of Governors Gabriel Suswam and Rotimi Amaechi of Benue and Rivers States respectively.
Akpabio warned Nigerians to always trust their representatives and warned against playing politics with people’s health.
His words: “I was a part of the delegation that visited the governor in London and I brought a message of goodwill to His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State and like I said, we must learn to mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice. We should not play politics out of people’s health”.
“For me, I’m very grateful to God that Governor Chime has recovered fully and he would be assuming duties within the next 10 days. It’s not something that any Nigerian should be sad about, rather, we should be happy and we should pray that he’s returning to the country within 10 days from today and he would be in the government House in Enugu on his seat as the Governor of the State. I can confirm that because I had interactions with him and he’s in good health and he’s recovering. Once the doctors give him the go ahead, he will be in the office. You can quote me.”
On the allegation that the Governors’ Forum was working against the Federal Government and the Nigerian people, Akpabio, dispelled such claims, affirming that he would not be party to any association or forum that attempts to bring down President Goodluck Jonathan and his team even as he described such allegation as unfounded.
He maintained that they were part of the government, which should work together to uplift the living conditions of the people.
Two UNILAG Students Commit Suicide in One Month
The family and friends of a student of University of Lagos simply identified as Seun, who took his own life on Tuesday 19th January 2013 are still in shock over his death. Suicide among Nigerian youths is not a common occurrence. It is therefore disturbing to read the Punch report which claims that two undergraduate students of UNILAG have committed suicide in the last one month. The first one happened earlier in the year.
On New Year’s Eve, Damilola Durojaiye, a Computer Science student of the university, also allegedly committed suicide at his parents’ Akute-Ajuwon, Ogun State home. The 19-year-old was said to be a brilliant student with a cumulative grade point average of about 3.9. He reportedly stayed at home when his parents went for the cross-over service, only for them to come back and see his body dangling from where he hanged himself. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, said at the time that a suicide note was found where Durojaiye hung himself .
The circumstances surrounding Seun’s death is also quite mysterious. He lived with his aunt in Mafoluku, Lagos, where the incident was said to have occurred. When Punch visited his family, Seun’s aunt was still in shock.
“Please, I cannot say anything because this is a big tragedy for us,” she was quoted as saying.
However, some neighbours spoke about his character and the events of the day he died.
“I knew he was a student. I just did not know he attended UNILAG. He was an easy going and quiet man. We probably would have been close if he was not the quiet type. The day of the incident, I just got home from an errand and I was told Seun had been rushed to a hospital. When I asked what happened, I was told he went out to buy a substance and locked himself inside his room.
“I still don’t know what happened to make him take that action. I think those in the house when he went to buy the substance must have suspected he was going to do something drastic because they later forced the door open, but he had already ingested the substance he went to buy. They quickly took him to the hospital,” a young woman told Punch.
It was learnt that Seun died later that evening in the hospital.
Another resident in the area described him as “a very quiet young man of about 27 years old.”
Unlike Damilola who left a suicide note, Seun’s suicide remains shrouded in mystery as it may never be known what drove him to commit suicide. Moreso, the police have said no report was made about it as the Public Relations Officer of the Airport Police Command, Lagos, Dennis Ifijen told Punch that they have no record of the case.
Their deaths are very sad and we pray their souls rest in peace.
'Dead' Woman Comes Back To Life At Her Funeral
Mourners nearly died of shock when a 101-year-old woman sat up and spoke - as she was being put in her coffin.
Peng Xiuhua asked why so many people were in her house in Lianjiang, Guangdong province, China.
Peng, who lived alone, had taken a tumble and hurt herself so her two daughters, who are in their 70s, were looking after her.
However, 10 days later her daughters could not detect a heartbeat and her body had gone stiff so she was declared dead.
The daughters gave her a bath, an undertaker dressed her and they were about to put her in her coffin when she came back to life.
Peng said: “I am a lucky woman.
"Not only did I get to see how many people care for me, but I also woke up before they took me to the crematorium,” she said.
How being married cuts risk of heart attacks for women
Being married cuts your risk of having a heart attack and makes you more likely to survive cardiac arrest if it does happen - especially if you're the wife.
A new study reveals single and divorced people have the highest risk of fatal attacks at any age, with a greater chance of dying before getting to hospital.
The study is significant as most research suggests marriage may protect the health of men more than women
Experts say the benefits come from a positive effect on lifestyle, with married couples having more money, better health habits and social support than singles.
Unmarried people are also more likely to suffer depression, which has been shown to hamper recovery from heart attack.
The large study from Finland found the benefits occurred as early as middle age, with couples who were married and cohabiting more likely to survive heart attacks at any stage..
The study, published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, looked at information on people over the age of 35 living in four geographical regions of Finland.
Lower levels of depression was identified at a factor that could help recovery
All fatal and non-fatal cardiac events - known as acute cardiac syndromes or ACS - were included.
The register recorded 15,330 ACS events including heart attacks over the study period of ten years, with just over half (7,703) resulting in death within 28 days.
Events occurred almost equally among men and women, but they were 58-66 per cent higher among unmarried men and 60-65 per cent higher in unmarried women, than among married men and women in all age groups.
The differences in deaths before 28-days were even greater, being 60-168 per cent higher in unmarried men and 71-175 per cent higher in unmarried women, than among married men and women.
The 28-day death rate was roughly doubled for never married, single or divorced men and women aged 65-75 years compared with those who were married.
Wives came off best, with death rates of just 20 per cent compared with 32 per cent in divorced women and 43 per cent among spinsters aged 35-64 years.
The rates for men aged 35-64 were 26 per cent for husbands, 42 per cent in divorcees and 51 per cent for bachelors.
The death rate of 35-64-year-old single men and women was higher than that of those living with one or more people.
Lead author Dr Aino Lammintausta from Turku University Hospital in Finland said previous research suggested being unmarried or living alone increased the chances of suffering and dying from a heart attack but rarely included data on women and older age groups.
She said ‘Especially among middle-aged men and women, being married and cohabiting are associated with considerably better prognosis both before hospitalisation and after reaching hospital alive.
‘Marriage seems to protect women even more than men from out-of-hospital death.
‘The lower cardiac risks of married persons may result from a protective effect of marriage.
‘For example, they may have a better financial status, better health habits, and higher levels of social support compared to the unmarried, thereby promoting their overall health.’
Higher rates of depression among singles may play a part, although it is possible that people with poorer health may be more prone to staying unmarried or getting divorced.
Having someone close to raise the alarm during a heart attack could be important, she said. ‘It may be assumed that resuscitation or calling for help was initiated faster and more often among those married or cohabiting.’
Married people also seemed to get better treatment once in hospital - including therapy to re-open blocked arteries - and after discharge when they may be more likely to take their medication long-term, said the researchers.
A US study last month found being married could lead to a longer life by improving your chances of surviving middle age.
It suggested for the first time that not having a spouse in midlife increases the risk of dying during those years, as unmarried people were almost three times as likely to die early than those who had been in a stable marriage throughout their adult life

Beckham may be about to donate his PSG wages to charity, but Balotelli started doing the same thing a while ago...
The adulation David Beckham is receiving for donating his Paris Saint Germain wages to charity is obviously understandable, but it appears one other high-profile footballer had already been leading the way.
Mario Balotelli, who this week completed a £19.5m transfer from Manchester City to AC Milan, has long been an individual whose career has been dominated by controversy and consistently divided opinion.
It also appears that he has long been donating generous amounts of his salary – 'almost half' – to charity, however. And in true Balotelli fashion, this revelation comes from the life he has left behind in Manchester in the form of model ex-girlfriend Tabby Brown.
What cannot be denied is that Balotelli very much lived the footballer's life. Perhaps his finest form was produced with Italy at Euro 2012, when he and Brown became an item, and when his fame grew even further.
One particular celebration now known as the "Hulk pose" went viral on the internet – something Brown says Balotelli truly revelled in while revealing he also used his fame to avoid a speeding fine when in Manchester.
'Mario googled himself obsessively to see how popular he was,' Brown said.
'He loved the web craze where people were photo-shopping the "Hulk" pose he did after scoring for Italy in the semi-final [of Euro 2012] and was beside himself when it made it on to Fifa 13.
'We were out in his Bentley once and he got stopped for speeding. But the policeman's face lit up when he saw it was Mario and let him off in return for an autograph!
