Patience Jonathan Decries Killings Of Nigerian Children- Says ''I have 2 Kids And Life Is Nothing Without them..''

The First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, on Wednesday appealed to Nigerian youths to always put the nation first and embrace peace to foster development in the country.
Jonathan said this while receiving various youth leaders who visited the State House in Abuja as part of activities ahead of the National Youth Peace Concert which is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 in Abuja.
The youth leaders, who were led by three personalities, said they were at the Villa to chart a course for the concert.

“I Raped My Daughter So I Could Get A Job” – Father of Three

“I Raped My Daughter So I Could Get A Job” – Father of Three
A 42-year-old father, Pedro Anegbe, has told an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court that a spirit asked him to rape his 15-year-old daughter to get a job.
He said the voice ordered him to rape the girl shortly after he lost his job and was idle at home.
Anegbe was arraigned on two counts for defiling his 15-year-old daughter (name withheld) at their home on Ifelodun Street, Fatolu Ipaja, Lagos State.
The Investigating Police Officer, Sergeant Bakare Murtala, told the court his findings in the course of investigation. “The defendant is the biological father of the girl. She told us her father had sexually harassed her. We questioned him on his daughter’s allegation and he confessed to the crime. He said he had raped her twice.” Murtala said.
The magistrate, Olanrewaju Olatunji, asked Anegbe why he raped his own daughter.
The father of three said, “I am actually living with my wife and three children. I have two girls and a boy. She is my first born. I have had sex with her just two times. The first was on January 27, 2014. But I cannot remember the date of the second one.”
On how it all began, he said, “I did it because I thought it was God talking to me, but later I knew it was an evil spirit. The voice said I needed power. To get the power, the voice said I must damage some things.
“I started destroying the clutch and brake of the vehicle I was given to drive. Then the voice told me I should stop delivering money to the owner of the vehicle after each day’s work. I stopped and I was sacked. I became idle after I lost my job. The voice came again, saying I should have sex with my daughter or else I would not get another job. That was why I slept with her.”
However, despite his admission, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge of rape.
Olatunji said, “You have confessed that you raped your daughter, why then did you still say you were not guilty of the crime after the charge was read to you? Don’t you understand the charge or what is the problem?”
“I am just forcing myself to talk, because the voice said I should not say anything,” Anegbe said.
His defence counsel, Rasaq Adeyemi, citing Section 115 of the Law of Lagos State, Nigeria, 2011, prayed the court to admit him to bail in liberal terms since he was still presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court.
In his ruling, the magistrate said, “This is a bailable offence, but it is a family matter. The defendant is to be remanded in prison pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution.”

The matter was adjourned till April 4, 2014.

Anybody Fighting Jonathan’s Fighting God And Will Perish, Says Billionaire PDP Chieftain, Prince Arthur Eze

prince-arthur-eze
A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Prince Arthur Eze, has advised those fighting against President Goodluck Jonathan to desist or face the wrath of God as his mandate was divinely ordained.
Mr. Eze made this known while speaking with State House correspondents on Tuesday shortly after he visited Mr. Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to Mr. Eze, anyone who opposes the president opposes God and will perish.
His words: “… Jonathan is our brother, God gave him power and anybody fighting him is fighting God, the person will perish and I don’t want perish. He was in his village and God sent for him and gave him power”.
The Anambra-born billionaire argued that Mr. Jonathan was transforming the lives of Nigerians and called for support for the president because it is the will of God.
“Now all of us will support him, he is fighting for all you the new generation. I am an old man, I am dying and that is why you have to support him and change your life. He has started changing the lives of Nigerians, the widows, the orphans, the needy. That is the will of God”.
Mr. Eze, who solely financed the governorship ambition of the PDP candidate – Tony Nwoye – in the recently held elections in Anambra State and had accused the outgoing governor, Mr. Peter Obi, of rigging the polls in favour of eventual winner, Willie Obiano of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, pledged his support for the governor-elect.
“I am the founder of APGA. The new governor is a young man, when you look at him, very cool. We shall support him to succeed him. So all of us should vote for Jonathan”, he stressed.

Obesere arrested for alleged rape

Obesere
Popular Fuji musician,  Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, has been arrested  by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Lagos.
The victim, who took the matter to the Police, also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician whose shows generally fascinate society women.
According to Olaiya, a  National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic, “I got to know  Obesere through one of my friends, Mrs Bola Okoro. She told me that Obesere would assist me in my business.
“I deal in office equipment and when I contacted Obesere, he asked me to meet him in his family house at Okota.  When I  met him, I  introduced my business to him and he promised to connect me to some of his friends in Dubai who would sell  goods to me on credit.
“After the discussion, he started demanding for sex and I refused and when I wanted to leave, he insisted I should sleep over in his house because it was late and he claimed that it was dangerous to go out late in the night in his area.
“I thought he was a responsible man and I decided to sleep over, but at the dead of the night, he came into the room where I slept and pounced on me.
“He raped me and afterwards inserted a ring he wore into my  private part  and I started bleeding. He hurriedly  left me in the room saying he had an appointment to fulfil.
“I could not bear the trauma and the bleeding and I reported the matter  to the police.”
Vanguard gathered that Obesere was first arrested last Wednesday by the Police at Isolo Police Division, where Olaiya reported the matter. He was subsequently released on administrative bail.
He  was later re-arrested on Monday, when medical examination conducted on Olaiya revealed that she was actually raped and the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo,  Adamu Ibrahim, was said to have ordered the transfer of the matter to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.
Sources disclosed that Obesere’s arrest was made possible through a warrant of arrest issued by the Chief Magistrate of Isolo Magistrate Court, Mrs Kike Bukola Ayeye, as he had declined to honour several police invitations sent to his  house at Johnson Famiye Street, Canal Estate, Ago, Okota.
We are lovers — Obesere
Police sources also said Obesere in his statement denied ever raping Olaiya, rather he claimed she was his lover and they made love when she visited him.
The source added that Obesere claimed he asked her to go to a private hospital for treatment when she complained that she was bleeding, but he was surprised when she reported to the police that she was raped.

Sadiq Abacha Writes Open Letter To Wole Soyinka

Sadiq Abacha Writes Open Letter To Wole Soyinka [Read]
Sadiq Sani Abacha one of the sons of late military dictator Sani Abacha, has written an open letter  to professor Wole Soyinka days after the Nobel Laureate said it was an insult to share an award with his late father, Sani Abacha. Sadiq says Prof Soyinka attacking his dad is an act of cowardice.

Read the letter below:
If you want to think, speak and act logically then you should know all three.

1. The law of identity

2. The law of excluded middle

3. The law of non contradiction.

Now let’s look at each one of these and see what they mean in practice.

1.The law of identity
The law of identity means that things are what they are, which at first doesn’t seem very illuminating, but wait; it implies also the following, that things are what they are, whether you like them or not, it implies that things are what they are whether you know them or not, it implies that things are what they are whether you agree with them or not.
However, if you don’t like the facts as they are you are going to have to put up with them, because facts are what they are, if it’s raining on your golf day, get used to it! Because the facts are what they are and are often not what you want them to be, like if the traffic lights turn red when you approach, stop complaining! The law of identity means that you must adapt yourself to the facts and start your work from there, it implies that the facts will not bend to meet your expectations. You must first adapt yourself to what life is and then get to work changing and improving things in your life, be brave to meet reality as it really is and not how you would wish it to be.

2. The law of excluded middle.
The law of excluded middle means that you should give a straight yes or no answer always and there is no middle ground. The law means that there is no kinda yes and kinda no, there is no ‘sort of’ being married because you are either married or you are not, you are either a thief or you are not, you are either on time or not, you are either living in Nigeria or you are not. The law is the idea that you should not try to keep all of your options open by staying in the middle or hedging, when it suits you, like when you accepted an appointment during IBB’s regime as chairman of FRSC. I bet that was a military regime you partook in. Please pick one wife and state your claim 100% to her, pick one idea and go for it 100%! Decide and commit Sir! There you might find great power and self satisfaction in the doctrine of decide and commit. No half way measures, no middle ground, exclude the middle! Here! The law of excluded middle Sir.

3. The law of non contradiction.
The law of non contradiction says don’t contradict yourself simple. If you say you will be there then be there. If you say you will do it then do it. Don’t say or fight for one thing and then do the opposite. Don’t say one thing and then later deny that you said it. Don’t say one thing and then later contradict it. Be consistent in your thoughts and actions. Observing someone who was a socialist in the morning but then became a capitalist in the evening is a textbook on contradiction, these are two polar opposites, such a person is clearly inconsistent and is therefore considered a flip flop, confused, easily led or misled or at best a lunatic who has no clear understanding of the basis of either doctrine.

Apply these three logics to others with consistency and then you can ask for the same or expect the same from others, and then you can also ask for others to deal with facts not fantasy, which is the law of identity. Ask others to make up their mind to decide and commit. The law of excluded middle. Then ask others to follow through on the things that they say they would do. The law of non contradiction.

Sir, I believe brilliance is not perfection. I have grown and watched you criticize regime after regime and at that young and naive age I was thinking why wouldn’t this man just contest to be president so that Nigeria can be saved, I would have defiantly voted for Mr Soyinka if it would have brought an end to Nigeria’s woes. To my utter surprise, I heard about your FRSC leadership and how funds were misused and a great deal of it unaccounted for. “Oh my God! In the end he turned out to be just the same as everybody else” were my next thoughts. My hopes for you, all ended up in great disappointment.

Here I find myself defending my father 15 years after his death because some of you have no one else to pounce on, or rather, you have chosen a dead person to keep pouncing on over and over again when you have more than an array of contestants.  A coward’s act I believe.  ”A common writer” is what I have heard you being referred to lately, and I believe a mature mind would now agree to such referrals. With all due respect, there is a great challenge that faces the country, we have to put our heads together, rather than clashing, our collective ships must sail in the same direction, let us leave the ghosts of past contention and face the future bravely as one, criticizing the past does not help the present or define a path to the future.

You say, with the weight of your sense of history and the authority you possess on national issues that ” a vicious usurper under whose authority the lives of an elected president and his wife were snuffed out” referring to my late father, you must be growing old, or you would rightly recall that that president elect you refer to did not die while my father was alive. Did you slyly change your facts to fit a history that would better serve your narrative, or are you just plain forgetful? Either way, it shows you are losing your grasp of reality.

Comparing my father’s leadership to Boko Haram’s current reign of terror,  is a rather cheap shot, you are in no position to examine, judge and sentence an entire regime based on the information you think you have, you are privy to almost none of the true facts, what is at your disposal is at best, hearsay, or were you ever minister of defence? did you ever sit in during security meetings, evaluate the facts and subtleties of national security? You remind me of Obama criticizing the Republicans  before he became a sitting president himself, vouching to put an end to all American occupation, this all came to an abrupt end once he had access to the briefs and security issues, economic and political, facing his nation. Surely he did what he could, and history will judge him. To lead is not to be a rock star, and to be a Nobel laureate is not to be a an antagonist of this countries legacy..We are Africa’s leaders, whether we like it or not, we cannot trivialize the centenary celebration, it happens only once, let us come together, if only for this one occasion and agree to disagree.

Open rebellion against the current government at this time, on the manner of the centenary celebrations, for whatever reason, is tactless, it is not about you, it is about our nation, our beloved country. There is a time and place for everything. My late father was a Nigerian, lived in Nigeria and died protecting our interests to the best of his ability, critiquing placing him on the honor roll, along with many deserving dignitaries is your right, you have the right to your own opinions, but you do not have the right to your own facts. Facts stand alone, regardless of who espouses them, let posterity judge, but you are clearly politicizing a dead issue, how could you not be? Having an issue with the naming of a hospital after the late General and leader? really ? Now ?

It almost seems as if you want to turn back the hands of time, what else would you like to undo besides the naming of the hospital, would you like to unmake Bayelsa state, Zamfara state or the others?  What about the advances we made in commerce, reducing the inflation rate, what about security and welfare, how many projects, hospitals and schools were created? inflation went from 54% to 8.5%! my father oversaw an increase in our foreign currency reserves from 494 million dollars in 1993 to 9.6 billion dollars by the middle of 1997, that is unprecedented , 15 years after the PTF the benefits are still being reaped today in Nigeria, What of peace keeping and nation building, not just in West Africa but the entire continent, restoring democracy in Liberia and Sierra Leone, all these under my father’s leadership, are all these not laudable? Or would you like to undo them all. All this on 8$ per barrel of oil! You have to be kidding me.

You are a learned man, you would have to undo all your learning to knowingly wish to undo all these achievements! I will be the first to proclaim that my fathers leadership was not pitch perfect or spot free, that does not exist, maybe in utopia but not here on this earth, so let us keep our discourse set in the sphere of reality please, he deserves the award, and he did not campaign for it, let it go, Sir…and allow Nigeria to at least bask in our survival and endurance in our growing prosperity and development in these trying times. I have been accused of being an optimist, hence, I am optimistic that you will come around and accept that we can all come together and face the future together, forgive each other our wrongs while celebrating our rights, I am still an admirer of your works after all, however, I cannot and will not attempt to answer your every charge, this is not the time or place, this is a time for solidarity, if only you were wise enough to grasp this.

I applaud the patience of President Goodluck Jonathan and his composure and restraint in not having a knee jerk reaction at such a pivotal moment in our nations history, but you would mar the occasion, Sir, in the future, please pick your battles, and do better to safeguard your relevance,  Enough Sir!

Sadiq Abacha.

I Am Pregnant For My Friend’s Husband

black-woman-pregnant-belly
Dear readers,
I am a 42-year-old woman and I reside in Abuja Nigeria, after reading my confession you might insult me which is allowed but all I want is advice from you. I am single and you might wonder why at 42 I’m still single but my being single is because am waiting for the right time to take over my friends husband.
I have a friend called Aisha and we’ve been friends from childhood. She’s married with two kids. When Aisha got married I got so jealous because her husband is so rich and handsome. Aisha’s husband despite being married still hangout with other women and I’ve caught him on three different occasions in various hotels across the country.
I told my friend about it but instead of her believing me she chose to accuse me of trying to destroy her home. I got furious and made up my mind to prove to my friend that her husband is actually a cheat.
Aisha travels out of the country and I made a visit to her house late at night during one of those travels, claiming my car broke down on the road and so won’t be able to make it back home since its late her husband persuaded to drop me at my place that night but I insisted I will spend the night over . We talked and later I held him and demanded he make love to me if not I will tell his wife about all the affairs he’s been keeping. He was stunned when I noticed this I quickly pushed him on the couch and we ended up making love.
Unfortunately I got pregnant in the process which is what have been looking for. Now I’m 2months pregnant for him he promised to give me anything I want just to terminate the pregnancy but nothing on earth can equal me keeping my child to share part of his wealth so I told him sharing part of his wealth with my child is what I want.
Now with the pregnancy I can prove to my friend that her husband is a good for nothing man and a cheat too, I know she will put up a fight but I am ready to give her the fight of her life after all she shouldn’t be enjoying wealth alone. I am 42 and just can’t loose this baby am carrying for anything since menopause is around the corner.
Don’t you think I did the right thing by getting pregnant for her husband just to prove to her I was right about the allegations I made to her earlier, if I get rid of this pregnancy I might never get pregnant again am just confused on what to do since I didn’t mean to get pregnant all I wanted to do was just prove to my friend her husband is a cheat. Please advise me on what to do next.

Why My Wife & I Don’t Live Together- Chidi Mokeme

Here is what the actor told YES Magazine
Well, when I met my wife, this was our default setting. Let me put it like that. Our default setting was that I live in Nigeria and my wife lives in America and then we started a relationship and decided to take the relationship further and decided we were gonna be man and wife. So, having taken that decision and having crossed that level, the next thing is to find a way to ease into a location. Everybody knows that you don’t just pack your bag and move in one day. There are things that need to be sorted, relocation needs to be sorted. So, we are taking our time with it. But then again, by virtue of my job, I have a pretty much very flexible timing. I own my time, I decide when to work, when not to work. So, really, I can be with my wife anytime, every time I so desire and it makes it easy. If I work 9-5, then we will always have to wait for when someone was on leave the whole year round, if I want, just to be with my wife.

Nigerian S*X Workers Demand Recognition, Say S*X Is Job Too

0013729e48090eda9f890a
Some of the prostitutes are sure that the time had come for the Nigerian government to grant them their due recognition and further recognise that as human beings trying to keep body and soul going, the ‘profession’ should be considered legitimate enough to put a stop to its discrimination and stigmatisation.
Though many of them did not realise that a day like this was set aside for them until they were told, they also called on rights activists to assist them gain the desired recognition.
“See, many people, including you, do not see us as human beings. In your mind, we are a condemned set of Nigerians who sell their bodies so cheaply, but that thought is not right,” Jane, a lady from eastern Nigeria who operates at a brothel close to the railwayline in Agege, told the correspondent.
Her colleague, a 27-year old from southern Nigeria, said with their rights recognised, they could pay tax to the government and to be seen as decent people in the society.
“In some countries abroad, s*x workers pay taxes. There is no discrimination, they can sue and even have streets, mainly in red light districts allocated to them to carry out their trades.
But here in Nigeria, we are faced with rejection from the society, serious harassment by the police, and victimisation by our customers.
You can imagine a customer who rushes into this place in a desperate bid to ease himself, jumps at one of us after a bargain and rides like a horse only to renege on the agreement on how much he should pay.
If we have our rights, we could call for his arrest without shame or molestation from security agents and other Nigerians,” she explained.
In a brothel just a few meters away, another s*x worker, Judith, told our correspondent that many prostitutes have various reasons for taking up the “business.”
In her own case, she had travelled out of the country primarily to “hustle in Spain. But I was deported even before reaching the place.
“It was a tough experience and I started sleeping with men as we moved from one country to another just to get money to survive.
I stayed two months in Morocco gathering money, but just days to my entering Spain, I was caught with other 80 women and men and sent back to Nigeria.
I am from Agbor in Delta State and couldn’t go back to my place because of the shame.
So I took up residency in this place servicing men daily and making money. I’m even more comfortable here now and I make good money, about N12,000 every week,” she said.
In another brothel located behind the lock-up shops in Iyana-Ipaja, Philo, a 30-year old, who said she never heard that s*x workers had such a day in their honour, said it would be good for government to give them legal backing.
“We can be seen as social workers assisting men who can’t summon the courage to ‘toast’ women, who are downtrodden and can’t maintain having a full-time girlfriend or wife as well as those who love variety.
Ordinarily, without us, there would be much depression among men in the country. If you see what we have to bear sometimes, dirty men, stinking mouths and a lot more. How many women on the streets can accommodate that?” she asked.
Her colleague, who gave her name as Eki (meaning market in Bini language), said granting recognition to prostitutes in Nigeria is the best thing government could do for them.
“In many parts of the world, women are not ashamed to say they are call girls because they are recognised by the society.
In the case of Nigeria, we just overlook the daily insults from both children and adults as well as the usual harassment from the police just to keep hope alive.
Sincerely, we are not regarded as members of the society, we don’t have the freedom to do what we like because of the stigma.
If the government cannot provide us jobs or put us on a welfare scheme to prevent us from taking to this means of livelihood, then it should recognise us as doing legitimate business,” she said.
She also called for support from non-government and rights organisations, saying they are in a better position to help in the fight.
The International s*x Workers’ Rights Day is marked on 3 March every year to call the world’s attention to the plight of s*x workers and demand for their rights.
With the red umbrella as its symbol, the day came into existence in 2001 with a protest of over 25,000 s*x workers organised by the Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee in India.
In South Africa, Sisonke, the only movement of s*x workers in the country is commemorating the day with a march across streets to call for an end to injustices against s*x workers and demand the recognition of prostitution as a legitimate job.

New Rule! Anglican Church Takes Anti-Homosexuality Oath

An Anglican church in Abuja on Sunday has made his members take an oath according to Tribune during their swearing-in as members of the Parish Church Council (PCC). They were made to confess that they are not homosexuals or bisexual and if at all they later turn into one while still working for God that may His wrath fall upon them. The church said it decided to introduce this, because things are changing so fast and we now have homosexuals everywhere which shouldn't be so. Below is how Tribune is reporting it.
Anglican Communion has introduced a clause in its constitution subjecting members, who intend to hold positions in church, to take an oath of allegiance to God denouncing homosexuality.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the public denunciation took place in Abuja on Sunday at St. Matthews, Maitama, during the swearing-in of new members of the Parish Church Council (PCC).
The Vicar of the church, Ven. Ben Idume, who administered the oath to members of the PCC, said the church recognised that those with such sexual orientation needed help and counselling.
“But they would not be allowed to hold any position in church,’’ he said.
It also banned bisexuals from holding any church office.
The text of the vow reads: ``I declare before God and his Church that I have never been a homosexual/bisexual or (have repented from being homosexual/bisexual) and I vow that I will not indulge in the practise of homosexuality/bisexuality.
“If after this oath I am involved, found to be, or profess to be a homosexual/bisexual against the teachings of the Holy Scriptures as contained in the Bible.
“I bring upon myself the full wrath of God and subject myself willingly to canonical discipline as enshrined in the constitution of the Church of Nigeria, so help me God.’’
One of the oath-takers, Mr Lucky Erhaikhuemen, 43, the Vicar’s warden of the church, said two decades ago the oath would have been of no significance in the Church of Nigeria.
“But with what is happening in Western countries and the churches there, there is a lot of pressure on church leaders and members here to compromise the teachings of the church.
“The oath is a guide and warning that those in leadership positions in the church must uphold scriptural teachings.

Kanu Nwankwo Undergoes Heart Surgery Again

Nigerian football star and founder of Kanu Heart Foundation, KHF, Nwankwo Kanu (OON, MON, UNICEF Ambassador) during the weekend underwent a corrective heart surgery at the Cleveland Hospital, Ohio, USA.

Extremist and Islamic Terror Preacher, Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, Granted Visa To Nigeria By FG

Extremist and Islamic Terror Preacher, Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips, Granted Visa To Nigeria By FG
The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, on Sunday said that government granted a visa to the Islamic preacher, Abu Philips, because he was not in the country’s blacklist.
Moro made the clarification at the Ecumenical Centre, Abuja, shortly after the Centenary thanksgiving service attended by President Goodluck Jonathan.
He reacted to reports which alleged that government granted visa to a controversial Islamic preacher.
Philips was described as “an extremist and Islamic terror preacher, who lives in Qatar and was banned by governments in UK, U.S., Australia, Germany, Kenya and other countries across the world’’.
Reports reveal that the cleric celebrated his Visa issuance with his followers on his facebook on Sunday morning, saying, “Al hamdu lillaah. I just got a visa for Nigeria and will be going there in a few days, in shaa allaah. So, I hope to see all my Nigerian brothers and sisters. Baarakallaahu feekum”.
Moro said: “let me say this that every country has its own requirement for the grant of visa and in Nigeria’s situation, especially against the backdrop of our security challenges, we also have our requirement for granting of visas.
“We have our own blacklist too of people that because of our security situation should not be allowed into the country.
“And this preacher that you talk about for instance did not fall within the list of people blacklisted for their activities that are inimical to internal security.
“If his preaching and the content of what he has submitted for the granting of visa will not undermine the security of the country, then certainly we will grant him the visa.
“That is the purpose we have achieved here.’’
Moro added that Nigeria as a sovereign nation should not be guided by the dictates of other countries and should be able to take its decision at every point in time.
“Let me also say here that we should not set some double standards.
“When the Nigerian government signed the Anti-Gay Law and the West was complaining, we stated that Nigeria nation is a sovereign country that should be allowed to determine its destiny and practices.
“And so, we will not use now the refusal of visa by Germany, UK as a basis for refusing anybody visa here,’’ he said.

“I Am Gay” – Ugandan President’s Daughter Reveals

“I Am Gay” – Ugandan President’s Daughter Reveals
In a shocking revelation, the daughter of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni admitted yesterday during a radio talk show in Mbarara, in Western Uganda disclosed that she is homosexual, and that she is revealing this fact as a protest to the anti-gay law her father signed only a few days ago.
Diana Kamuntu, Museveni’s daughter said that though she loves her father unconditionally, she does not agree with Uganda’s anti-gay stance, and will fight against it.
“I am gay, I am homosexual. I have known this since I was a little girl. Also, I have been Christian all of my life, so I will not tolerate any law of this supposedly democratic nation, that will place hate on any person just because of what his or her sexual orientation happens to be,” said Kamuntu.
“Now that I finally revealed my sexual orientation, I put myself in front of this new law and I will let our people decide what to do with me,” Kamuntu adds, as her voice breaks down while on air.
The radio host, James Kasirivu noticeably was in shock, and could not seemingly get words out of his mouth.
The live radio broadcast was abruptly shortened and was put off air after a few hours of repeated commercials.
In the latest setback for homosexuals across Africa, the Ugandan President signed a law Monday that imposes tough penalties for homosexual acts, a move that has been condemned from around the world and that may jeopardize Uganda’s relationship with the United States and other Western nations.
