Biafran passport: MASSOB defrauded us –Victims

What is the multi-million Naira question on the minds of thousands of Igbo men and women who obtained the documents sold by the now deposed leader of the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, as Biafran International Passport.
It is alleged that MASSOB generated over N500 million from the sale of the passport alone. But incidentally, it was a passport to nowhere, as none of those who obtained it could travel with it. Findings by New Telegraph indicate disenchantment and disappointment among former loyalists of Uwazuruike who bought the Biafran passport.

HOW A CORPS MEMBER SLUMPED AND DIED DURING CHOIR MINISTRATION IN DELTA CHURCH

A corps member, Mr Excellent Akevwighome has slumped and died on the spot while leading a choir ministration in his church, Christ Gospel Church, in Edjeketa community, Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
Vanguard reports that Akevwighome, aged 29 and a graduate of Accountancy from Anwai campus of the Delta State University, died during a vigil where he was said to be a choir master. He was said to have slumped and died almost immediately midway into the vigil.
An eye witness said when he fell, he was thought to be under the influence of Holy Spirit, but after waiting for about 20 minutes and he (Akevwighome) failed to get up, some of the choristers tried to help him up only to find out that he was already dead.
The Pastor of the church, Pastor Peter Akpovwera expressed shock at the incident, saying,
“The brother was a faithful worshiper but lost his life to the cold hands of death even in the church.”
His younger brother, Mr Godday Akevwighome said, the victim was serving in Anambra state at the time of his untimely death, and that, “he has been buried the following day.”

“I wasn’t home yesterday. My wife, Maimunat Ogude, went out with my kids. Barely two hours that I left the house, my younger brother Ogaga called me to say that some armed men came to the house to take my wife away,I was told that they threw my kids out of the car and just took my wife in my car.

Months after Aderiye Omolafe,an aide of Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose,and former Chairman of the Ekiti state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers was shot dead by unknown gunmen,his driver has also been assassinated.
The unfortunate incident occurred this morning while he was traveling along the Aramoko and Igede road in Ekiti state.

Covenant Church Pastor Faints After Losing Massively In Anambra Community Election

A popular pastor, Pius Chigbo slumped, became unconscious and almost died after he lost an election in his community. He fainted when he discovered he didn't get a single vote from anybody, even including those who collected money from him to vote for him in the election.
Pastor Pius Chigbo had allegedly spent huge sums of money during the campaign for his community election in Umuchu town, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, southeast Nigeria.
Chigbo, who presides over Covenant Church of Yaweh in Umuchu, suffered the fate after the people voted massively against him, to the extent that he did not get a single vote because of the allegation that he shared money to the people to win the election.

Goodluck Jonathan Reacts to ‘Person of the Year’ Honour

In a statement published on his official Facebook page on Monday, January 4, the ex-president expressed gratitude to Africa’s number one and largest newspaper in the USA and noted that he understands why this medium might have thought him worthy of such an honour.
“I thank The African Sun Times for naming me as its International Person of the year, 2015. I am indeed humbled by this honour. When I think about it, I understand why this medium may have thought me worthy of such an honour.
“However, I believe that my people, the Nigerian people, are more deserving of this honour. We, the Nigerian people put to shame naysayers and prophets of doom and in 2015, we held a most transparent, violence free and credible elections that transferred power from one political party to another and from an incumbent to the opposition, without rancour, bitterness or strife.
“In the process, we proved that nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian or any national of any country for that matter. That to me, is a most worthy testimonial of the character of the Nigerian nation and the resilience of our people which is why I dedicate this honour to them.
“May God continue to bless Nigeria and Nigerians. GEJ,” the statement read.
A few days ago, one of Nigeria’s online newspapers, The Trent also named Goodluck Jonathan the Person of the Year 2015.
While receiving the award, the former president said that he felt deeply touched by the kind gesture and honour coming months after he left office.

Sambo Dasuki Paid N400m Into Olisa Metuh’s Account

Detectives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) probing the $2.1 billion arms contracts have traced at least N400m to the account of a company allegedly linked with Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) spokesman Olisa Metuh.
The company, Destra Investment Limited had N6. 67 million as at November 24, 2014, but by last December, had a balance of N1.4billion.
According to a report by The Nation, EFCC investigators discovered that Destra Investment Limited was used to fund the PDP’s activities, including its 2015 campaign.
Some of the deposits in the account were: N400million from the Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA) on November 24th, 2014; N253million ( December 2nd and 4th, 2014) from Ibrahim Kabiru whose identity was yet to be confirmed; N91million on 2nd December 2014 from Capital Field Investment; and N92million on 3rd December 2014 from Etonye Oyintoneife.
A source in the commission said: “We will invite Metuh any moment from now for clarifications on some of these transactions in this firm, which he allegedly owns.

Residents of a building located at Onueke Town, Ebonyi State have been gripped by shock at the discovery of the fact that a horny man, Mr Nwoja living in the compound has been sexually abusing their underage female children over time according to the New Telegraph.
The unsuspecting neighbours didn’t know his true nature until one of their children started having pains inside her private part. The girl’s parents almost collapsed in shock when the child revealed that Nwoja had serially raped her. The man didn’t just insert his fingers into the girls’ private parts, he also inserted his manhood. His wife was said to have travelled to the village since the news of the incident broke out.
