The wealthiest man in China needs to find an heir to his $122bn empire after his son told him he does not want to live a life like that.
Wang Jianlin, founder and chairman of Dalian Wanda Group, said his only son, 28-year-old Wang Sicong, doesn't want to take over his shopping centres, hotels, theme parks and sports clubs.
'I have asked my son about the succession plan, and he said he does not want to live a life like mine. Perhaps young people have their own quests and priorities,' Wang, 62, told an entrepreneurs summit over the weekend.
Wang Sicong is a director at his father's empire, with a 2% stake. He founded Prometheus Capital in 2011 and has made investments in Invictus Gaming, Dining Concepts Holdings.
In May last year, he bought two Apple Watches for his dog, called Wang Keke, who wears them both on his front legs. In a country with a fast widening wealth gap, the pictures quickly caused outcry. .
Apple Watch sells between £820 and £1,300 in China, which is more than the monthly salary of an average office worker in big cities. He went to school in Britain and studied philosophy at the University College London.

Deceased Kano ‘corper’ had untreated infection –NYSC

Late Ifedolapo Oladepo, a corps member of the 2016 Batch ‘B’, who died at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp in Kano, had renal sepsis occasioned by infection, a report that was conducted has revealed.
From the result of investigation, the doctor concluded that the deceased “had kidney infection, probably due to untreated urinary tract infection.”
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung and Director General of the NYSC, Brig-General Suleiman Kazaure, while presenting the report on Tuesday in Abuja, reiterated the government’s commitment to safety of corps members.

Bolivians jubilate after Lagos court sentenced them to six years in jail for drug offences

A Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday sentenced three Bolivians to six years’ imprisonment for dealing in illicit drugs.The convicts are Reuben Jorge, Yhugo Moreno and Yerko Dorado.
They were sentenced by Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo, who affirmed their guilty plea to the two counts pressed against them by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
The convicts had been in detention since February 3, 2013, when they were arrested by operatives of the NDLEA on Daily Times Estate, Satellite Town, Lagos State, the base where they illegally produced Ephedrine and Methamphetamine.

Rather Chris told Bill Gates during the forum that featured some of Africa’s brightest young entrepreneurs,  how he had turned down a software engineer role at Microsoft.

Fake U.S. Embassy busted after a decade of issuing visas

A fake United States Embassy has been busted in Ghana after operating illegally for a decade, the U.S. State Department said.
The sham embassy was busted in the capital, Accra, and is said to have been run by a criminal cartel that issued illegally obtained visas.
It was housed in a run-down, pink two-storey building with a corrugated iron roof and flew a U.S. flag outside. Inside hung a portrait of President Barack Obama.
“It was not operated by the United States government, but by figures from both Ghanaian and Turkish organised crime rings and a Ghanaian attorney practicing immigration and criminal law,” the State Department said in a statement released late on Friday.
Turkish citizens, who spoke English and Dutch, posed as consular officers and staffed the operation. Investigations also uncovered a fake Dutch embassy, the State Department said.
The crime ring issued fraudulently obtained but legitimate U.S. visas and false identification documents, including birth certificates at a cost of $6,000 each, the statement said.
During raids that led to a number of arrests, authorities also seized authentic and counterfeit Indian, South African and Schengen Zone visas and 150 passports from 10 different countries along with a laptop and smart phones.

Istifanus Bello Gurama, who was reportedly kidnapped three weeks ago, has been murdered.Reliable sources told Punch  Gurama’s body was found in the gutter, adding that one of the kidnappers must have alerted a member of the public to where the body was.
Gurama was believed to have been kidnapped three weeks ago but news of his murder got to his family members (today) Monday.
Sources close to him told Punch that as a senior strategist, Gurama was in charge of negotiations and handing ransom payment to kidnappers whenever any of the expatriates in Dangote Industries was kidnapped.

Moroccan King Leads 300-Member Delegation To Nigeria, Meets Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday in Abuja met briefly with King Mohammed VI of Morocco, who arrived Abuja on Thursday, for a 3-day official visit to Nigeria.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the king, on arrival at the Presidential Villa at about 1.20p.m. inspected a guard of honour mounted by men of the Guards Brigade.
The Guards Brigade also honoured the visiting King with 21-gun salute.
NAN reports that shortly after the inspection of the guard of honour,  Mr. Buhari and Mohammed  met behind closed doors, before leaving the Presidential Villa for National Mosque to perform the 2-raka’at  Juma’at Prayer.
