Obasanjo dumps politics for evangelism, organizes nationwide crusades

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo may dump politics for evangelism soon, otohmillar has learnt.
The Ota farmer, we gathered has joined other clerics in organising nationwide crusades.
The reason, it was learnt may no be unconnected to the fact that President Jonathan could not allow him to dictate how he wanted Nigeria to be governed.
In protest, Obasanjo was said to have dumped politics for evangelism, having been trained at the National Open University.
He was said to have teamed up with a royal father from his home town, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso, Karounwi III, and the world-renowned evangelist, Kayode Williams whose ministry is Bishop Kayode Williams World Outreach, to hold crusades nationwide.
Sources disclosed that Obasanjo, Oba Tejuoso and Kayode Williams, an ex armed robber who repented while in the Sokoto prison, have begun a five-day crusade in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, yesterday.
Confirming the new status of Obasanjo, a cleric who is also an indigene of Ogbomoso, Pastor Kayode Alabi, said, “Yes, it is true that former President, Obasanjo, Oba Adedapo Tejuoso and Bishop Kayode Williams are coming to Ogbomoso for a five-day crusade beginning from today (yesterday).
The whole city is agog for the programme tagged ‘‘Healing Ogbomoso Land Gospel Crusade’’ holding at the Beulah Baptist Convention Ground, Ogbomoso. The programme is being hosted by Ogbomoso Christian Ministers’ Fellowship.”
According to him, Obasanjo may have resolved to spend the remaining years of his life serving God who brought him out of prison and made him president for eight years. He said: “Baba Obasanjo has many reasons for returning to God to serve him. You would recall how Gen. Abacha arrested him with others, sentenced him to death for alleged involvement in a phantom coup; he was set free after spending three years, three months and three days in prison. He was elected president and served for eight years and today he has many reasons to serve the same God. Don’t forget that he graduated as an evangelist from the National Open University. God could use anyone who is ready and willing to serve him.”

Power Cuts Worsen As Generation Drops By 1,598MW

Power generation in the country dropped by 1,598 megawatts on Sunday, the Transmission Company of Nigeria said.
The company explained that the massive load shedding being experienced nationwide was caused by vandalism of two major gas pipelines supplying gas to eight power generating stations.
The affected stations are Egbin/AES, Olorunsogo, Omotoso, Geregu NIPP, Afam IV and VI as well as River State Independent Power Station, resulting in drastic reduction of power supply.
In a statement signed by the General Manager (Public Affairs), TCN, Mr. Dave Ifabiyi, the company said that one of the vandalised gas pipelines was taking supply from the Okoloma gas plant, while the other was taking from Escravos.
Ifabiyi said, “With the disruption of gas supply through the lines, the Nigerian Gas Company is unable to move gas to Afam IV and Afam VI as well as the Independent Power Plant in Rivers State, resulting in generation loss of 593MW.
“Also, the second vandalised gas pipeline from Escravos to Warri caused a cutback of 1,005MW  in power generation from Egbin/AES power generating station, Olorunsogo, Omotosho and Geregu NIPP power generating plants.”

"I’ve had sex with 370 men" Nigerian woman Seyi Kolade!!

Seyi Kolade had only one thing on her mind as she chatted with the stranger - sex. Within hours the pair were in bed together and she was delighted at how her evening had panned out.
And this was not a chance encounter, for Seyi was a sex addict and it was what she did almost every day for 13 years. Last night she said: “Sex addiction took hold of my life.”
Seyi, 35, was just 17 when she became dependent on sleeping with men. By 19 she'd had 40 partners and she says she has bedded a shocking total of 370 men.
Her dangerous addiction led her to a life of destruction - catching sexually transmitted infections, being evicted from her home and having two terminations.
By the age of 30, Seyi had hit rock bottom and needed help. Today, after attending numerous sex addiction meetings and 12-step programmes, Seyi has been celibate for four years and is helping others like her.
She explains says: “Sex addiction is something people associate with men, but it took hold of my life for more than 13 years.
“It was a craving and a fear of how I’d feel if I couldn’t get it.
“Once I did, it was a huge relief, like a weight was lifted.
“It’s like any addiction. It made me selfish, self-destructive and depressed but it was a cycle I couldn’t escape.”
She adds: “I lost my virginity when I was 13 with my first boyfriend.
“I was shocked when I fell pregnant. I gave birth when I was 14. It was a very difficult time.”
Social services arranged a nanny to look after her daughter, Sarah, from six weeks old.
Being a young mum scarred Seyi’s childhood. She says: “I moved out of home when I was 16 with Sarah and lived in a mother and baby unit. I felt terribly lonely. I craved affection, I was miserable.”
Moving into a housing association home at 17, Seyi met then-boyfriend Paul, 31.
It was now that she began to use sex to replace her feelings of loneliness.
She says: “When I started having sex with my boyfriend I thought it was the answer and would stop me feeling so lonely. But it wasn’t enough.”
Going to bars, Seyi, from Birmingham, cheated on Paul at least once a week with strangers or men she

Nigerians to start paying £3, 000 to enter the UK from November

According to a report by UK Daily Mail, visitors from 'high risk' countries in Africa and Asia will have to put up a £3,000 cash bond to enter Britain.
The money will be kept by the Government if visitors do not return home by the time their visas expire.
A pilot scheme, introduced by Home Secretary Theresa May, will target hundreds of people coming to Britain on six-month visit visas from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The countries have been picked for their high number of visa applications and what the Government sees as relatively high levels of immigration abuse and fraud, reports the Sunday Times.
The bonds, to be introduced from November, will only apply to non-EU migrants, otherwise they would fall foul of European rights to free movement.
'This is the next step in making sure our immigration system is more selective, bringing down net migration from the hundreds of thousands to the tens of thousands while still welcoming the brightest and the best to Britain,' Mrs May told the Sunday Times.
'In the long run we’re interested in a system of bonds that deters overstaying and recovers costs if a foreign national has used our public services.'
A second scheme will cover countries such as Kenya, the newspaper reports, which are considered to be lower-risk because immigration officials have fewer doubts about migrants' plans to return home.
About 2.2million people are granted visas to enter Britain every year. Last year 296,000 people from India were granted six-month visas, as were 101,000 from Nigeria, 53,000 from Pakistan and 14,000 apiece from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Onoh’s family battles Governor Chime over father’s property

chime1
The Enugu State Capital Development Authority, ECTDA, has pulled down a property located at Onoh quarters in Old GRA Enugu, belonging to Dr.
Josef Umunnakwe Onoh, son of former Governor of Old Anambra state, Late Chief C. C Onoh.
The commissioner for ECTDA, Engr. Iyke Ugwegede, said the building was pulled down because the fence and security house rested on a public road and obstructed the liberty of residents.
However, owner of the property and Chairman of karastan Nigeria limited, Dr. Josef Onoh has countered the claim by ECTDA and insisted that the demolished property met all due process of documentation.
He alleged that Engr. Ugwegede was propelled by personal vendetta over their unfinished personal business to demolish his property.
Onoh brandished several documents authenticating his structure and said that what happened was that he refused to sell more plots of land located within the area to Commissioner Ugwegede and he in turn unleashed vendetta on his property.
Onoh provided Cheques of previous personal transactions between him and Ugwegede and insisted that what the Commissioner did on his
property was an act of abuse of office and blackmail on him.
He demanded for immediate sack of the Commissioner by Governor Sullivan Chime to serve as reprimand for other public officers who may want to engage in conflict of interests using their positions.
Reacting to the claims, the Commissioner said that the ECTDA was only an enforcement agency that executed the order of the state Ministry of Lands which he said initially certified Onoh’s property, but turned around to withdraw the certification.
Ugwegde said his agency gave one month notice to Onoh against the official one week notice and washed his hands off the allegations being touted by Onoh.
He said: “I am not perturbed by allegations because it is part of the job. It is not a personal vendetta but an onerous duty. I have to work to the dictates of the job. My oath as a commissioner has taken care of all these allegations. Karastan was not aware that the authority given to him by the ministry of lands was withdrawn”.

Dbanj Interview: ''I Would Have Been Married If Not That...

D'banj
As part of his recent media tour, D’Banj was interviewed by Funsho Arogundade of PM News.
During the interview, they spoke about his forthcoming album, headlining the MTV All-Stars concert held in Durban, South Africa, his relationship with Don Jazzy and ‘why he shelved his marriage plans?’
Here’s an excerpt from the interview.
When are you going to get married and have kids?
“To tell you the truth, I would have been married if Mo’Hits had not broken up. The crisis really affected me and I had to start so many things afresh. Just like my mentor 2Face Idibia, I will be married and have my own kids one day.”
How much do you miss Don Jazzy?
“I really miss Don Jazzy and I miss the whole Mo’Hits crew. But are we talking about the engine or about the whole car?”
I can only imagine how many more questions these answers open up. Who was D’Banj planning to marry? Is he speaking hypothetically that he believes he would have been more comfortable with his music grind and would have settled down by now? Does this mean that he believes he would have been more successful if Mo’Hits survived?

I don’t believe it is right for two people who are matured and financially independent to court for a very long time, most times it leads to heart break. The Jamaican model, Keturah Hamilton who is now, the ex-fiance of Nollywood bad boy Jim Iyke is so heartbroken about her breakup with him and in interview with Diasporan Star, she said:

Anambra distributes 177 vehicles to traditional rulers
Posted by NAN
Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State, on Monday in Awka, distributed one SUV each to the traditional rulers of the 177 communities in the state.
Obi handed over one of the vehicles’ key to the state Chairman of the Traditional Rulers’ Council, Igwe Alfred Achebe, Obi of Onitsha.
He said that the gesture was aimed at helping them run and build better communities, adding that the vehicles would also help the traditional rulers to function effectively.

“In doing that, the state government and the local government will do what it can to support the building of a better Anambra.”

“It is completely unprecedented in Anambra and probably elsewhere in Nigeria,” he said.
“It is a mighty gesture from the governor and for the government of the state to make a distinct impact on the well-being of the traditional rulers in the state.”
According to him, it was one of the several measures the present administration in the state had taken to improve the wellbeing of the traditional rulers.
