18 Chisco Luxury transport buses burnt down in Lagos

The fire was said to have started after some hoodlums took advantage of a political campaign rally to throw substances suspected to be explosives into the premises of the transport company in apparent protest against President Goodluck Jonathan’s poster on a building beside Chisco’s head office.
A witness who identified himself as Stanley told Sun News last week
"It was when the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign train was passing during their political rally along Eko Bridge that some hoodlums supporting the party, took advantage of the rally to throw objects into the premises of the company when they saw President Jonathan’s billboard hung on the uncompleted building beside Chisco Head Office, thinking the premises belongs to the Federal Government.”
The building belongs to the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), a Federal Government parastatal sharing a common fence with the leading transport company.

Married Women In Kadunna Take to The Streets to Protest Sexual Starvation

Women from the Rido community in Kaduna State, have taken to the streets to protest their husband's sexual weakness, demanding that the start performing their matrimonial duties or face a mass divorce.
The women said the chemical waste and fumes from the Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC), has made thier husband's lose sexual potency, making them unable to satisfy their women on bed.
Speaking to journalists during the protest, some married women said most men in the Mararaba Rido community suffered one form of reproductive health problem or the other due to the toxic waste from the KRPC.
They reported that their men suffer weak erection and infertility, while the women often miscarry their babies or their ovaries are affected.
A community leader, Mohammed Bashar, also pointed out:
"Most of the complaints could be associated with secondary infertility, because victims have, in the past, given birth to children before they suddenly stopped.
There was widespread belief that smoke and poisonous gases emitted from the refinery have reproductive health effect on people living in the area, but no medical report has confirmed the allegation due to inability of villagers to seek comprehensive medical tests, perhaps owing to lack of awareness and poverty."

My younger sis attended a private university. With the amount of money my parents paid till she graduated, I was thinking at least the school gave each of them a self contained apartment to live in. You can imagine my shock the day I went to visit her and saw the mess of a hostel they were living in. The one I had in FUTO was just the same and my parents didn't even pay half of her fees for my education.

Nigerian woman gangraped by 4 men in India

Police in Delhi arrested four men on Friday in connection with the alleged gangrape of a Nigerian woman in a moving car, the latest in a series of sex attacks in the Indian capital.
The 35-year-old, who has been staying in India on a tourist visa, told police the men kidnapped her after midnight on Friday morning outside a popular shopping mall in New Delhi’s Saket area before bundling her into a car.
They then drove for around half an hour, during which time the alleged gangrape took place, before pushing her out of the vehicle.
The woman, who cannot be named, was finally rescued after a passerby spotted her on the side of the road in Mayur Vihar, around 20 kilometres (12 miles) away in east Delhi.
“We have received a complaint from the woman and investigations are ongoing,” Delhi police spokesman Rajan Bhagat told AFP.“We have filed a case under relevant sections.”
Bhagat said the four men arrested were Indians, and the car allegedly used had been impounded.
Local media, quoting police sources, said the victim was in an inebriated condition at the time of her rescue and had suffered minor injuries but was released from hospital by Friday afternoon.

Bayelsa Women Burnt to Death at Ahoada to be Buried on Saturday

The Government of Bayelsa State has fixed Saturday for the burial of the Peoples Democratic Party Women Leaders, who died in an auto crash along the East-West Road in Rivers State last week. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the burial arrangement was announced by the Bayelsa State Government after a closed-door meeting with families of the victims. The Federal Road Safety Commission had announced that nine of the 11 accident victims were burnt beyond recognition, a development that compelled the government to take the option of a mass burial. The government said a service of songs would hold at the Bayelsa Cultural Centre along Hospital Road in Yenagoa. A family source, Cherish Itesi, told NAN that state Governor, Seriake Dickson, had directed the Deputy Governor, John Jonah, to meet with the families over the funeral arrangements. Itesi said the burial venue would be at Ijaw Hero’s Park in Yenagoa after the Service of Songs at the Bayelsa Cultural Centre. Dignitaries expected to attend would include Dickson, Jonah, members of the State Executive Council, the legislature, party members, family members and well wishers. Itesi said the affected families would organise burial ceremonies for the victims in accordance with the Ijaw tradition after the burial by the state government.

A Nigerian priest who went on the run after sexually assaulting a woman in the UK has been jailed for eight months.
58 year old Father Hilary Ogom Nwadei, (pictured above) pleaded guilty to fondling the woman’s breasts and exposing himself while staying at St Mary’s Priory in Leyland.
Nwadei, from the Diocese of Issele-Uku, Delta State, Nigeria, began staying at the Priory in September 2013 while he studied a doctorate in law at the University of Central Lancashire, and also preached to the congregation. During that time, according to reports, he complained of loneliness and befriended his victim who he regularly confided in and often hugged during these exchanges.
However on December 12, 2013, he asked the woman to help him pack for a return trip to Nigeria.

Buhari stated this in a document obtained by PUNCH in Abuja on Thursday. The document highlights what Buhari will do in his first 100 days if he assumes power on May 29.
