President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Ikenne, Ogun state, for the burial of late Chief HID Awolowo.
Chief Hannah Idowu Dideolu, who died on September 19, is being buried beside her late husband, the late Yoruba leader, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Photos of Deplorable State of Nigerians Deported from the UK


Most of the deportees say they are not happy to come back. One person told a reporter that he was arrested by British police and was not allowed to even take his belongings before being deported.
While a few of them who say they don't have relatives here are stranded in the airport.
It can be recalled that recently, the Nigerian Government expressed concern over UK's plan to deport 29,000 Nigerians, and has insisted that due process be followed before the deportation.

500 Nigerians deported from the United Kingdom arrives in Lagos


United Kingdom deported 500 Nigerians.They arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos this morning. Many of them were deported for illegal stay permits. When interviewed, one of them said he was arrested by British police and was not allowed to even take his belongings before being deported. UK government plans to deport 29,000 Nigerians.

Nigerian 'Madam' makes underage maid fan her for 2 hours at a saloon[Photos]


A Nigeria facebook user Francesca Joseph-Esenwa‘shared a now viral video of a woman who made her underage maid fan her non-stop while she sat grooming herself in saloon for over two hours ..
She wrote,
“I witnessed this modern day slavery today at a nail salon. This woman who arrived in a jeep came with this girl who looked rather unkempt and had her fan her for over 2 hours.I Watched helplessly and prayed for life to be able to add value for my children.
If she can use her as a mobile fan for over 2 hours in public you can then imagine what she uses her for behind closed doors.No help for this children as we watch them being abused.No school.Still hurt by this.
Sad.”

Turkey Shoots Down Russian War Jet Along Syrian Border (Photos)


Turkish military has shot down a Russian war plane near its border to Syria, Ankara and Moscow confirms. The Russian Sukhoi Su-24 jet was shot down by Turkish F-16 fighter planes on Tuesday morning after violating the country's air space and ignoring nearly a dozen warnings, army officials said.
However, Russia's Ministry of Defence claims the jet was in Syrian airspace, and was shot down from the ground. Both pilots ejected themselves from the jet and could be seen parachuting down to the ground, where one has been reported as captured by Syrian Turkmen rebels who are hunting for the second pilot.More pics after cut...

How Abubakar Audu Died-Brother


The younger brother of All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu, said he died shortly after the results of the governorship was announced.
Alhaji Tijani Audu(pictured above) revealed that his late brother died after the Returning Officer,  Prof Emmanuel Kucha, declared the election inconclusive, and not on Sunday morning as being reported.Daily Trust reports that,he told journalists that  the late politician  had listened to and watched the collation of the results before he died.He said
“I was with him when the whole thing started. I was told in the morning of Saturday that he was sick and I called him to confirm but he said he was okay and would be coming to vote by 1pm,  and he came without showing any sign of sickness and we went together to vote.
“But the following day (Sunday) by 10 am, I went there to see him and his children said he was having health challenges and was weak, I even advised that after the announcement of the result he should go abroad for treatment”, he said.
He said Audu lived and fought for his people and would continue to be remembered for his sacrifices and doggedness.
