Chukwuma Soludo Reacts To Falana’s Allegation of $7billion Diversion As CBN Governor

Former Central Bank Governor, CBN, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has described claims by activist lawyer, Femi Falana, that he unlawfully doled $7 billion of Nigeria’s reserves to banks as loan as a “blatant lie.”
Falana had accused Soludo alongside the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Abubakar Sanusi II, also a former CBN governor, of diverting public funds during their seperate tenures as head of the apex Bank.

A 31-year old man named Agwu  Samuel, was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos after officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) discovered wraps of narcotics in the collar of his jacket.
Samuel was arrested shortly after he disembarked from an aircraft on his way from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He had confidently worn the jacket containing the drugs but through experience and insight, the drugs were discovered by officers.

Late Chief Thomas Osen Ekpemupolo, the father of ex-miliatant leader Tompolo has been buried. He was laid to rest at his hometown in Kurutie on Friday September 23. The burial was attended by high chiefs, princes and other well-wishers. Also in attendance was Burutu Kingsley Otuaro, the deputy governor of Delta state. Chief Thomas Osen Ekpemupolo died on September 7 aged 84.
