PDP Governors, Among Those To Visit Buhari In London Today

Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party are among six governors who are scheduled to leave Nigeria today to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in London, The Punch learnt in Abuja on Monday night.
It was gathered that the visit was being organised by the office of the National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Munguno (retd.).
They also learnt that the six governors were picked from the six geo-political zones of the country.
Listed among the six governors are Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), and Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo). The four governors are from the South-South, South-East, North-West and South-West respectively.

How she met Flavour
My relationship with Flavour was a bittersweet one. I met him in 2012 when he performed at a show in Houston, Texas where I am from. 3 weeks after we met, he flew me to Nigeria, Enugu to be precise.
I met his parents and he proposed to me. I didn’t know why he was taking me to his parents so quickly at that time. My mum and aunts kept telling me to cover up and make sure I say yes ma, no ma and all that stuff. He proposed and I said yes.

How Naija girls had a plan for her man
One of the issues we had was the fact that he was based in Nigeria and I was based in the States. This was one of the things that allowed extra noise come into our relationship. We tried to spend time together, but if Naija girls have a plan for your man, they will follow through.

He said that I should quit my career because our relationship wouldn’t work if they were two stars in the relationship.

Why the relationship did not work
Our relationship did not work because of lies and deceit. I felt like we both made mistakes so I’m not going to put it all on him. Also when he started getting all the women pregnant, I couldn’t deal. I was like ‘hell no’.

Emir Sanusi Sacks Secretary For Allegedly Leaking Info To The Press

The Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi 11, on Wednesday sacked his Senior Private Secretary, Alhaji Isah Bayero, over what was described as alleged sabotage.
A former pilot with the Kabo Air, Isah Bayero was appointed as an aide to Sanusi in 2014 when the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor became the emir to succeed the late Ado Abdullahi Bayero.
However, sources close to the Kano Emirate Council, told our correspondent that Isah Bayero was sacked after he was accused of leaking information on the expenditure of the council’s funds to the media.

Nigerian man caught at Pakistan Airport with 1.5kg heroin concealed in shampoo bottles

Airport Security Force (ASF) recovered one and half kilograms of liquid heroin from a Nigerian national at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad, Pakistan on May 19. According to local media, the liquid heroin was concealed in shampoo bottles which the arrested suspect, identified as Oliver Ogegio, was trying to smuggle out of the country.
Five thousand dollars were also recovered from his baggage. Airport sources he was heading back to Nigeria on a private airline via Doha. The suspect was handed over to Anti Narcotics Force which has initiated investigation from him.

Pregnant Lagos Beautician Oby Beats Maid To Death

A beautician, identified only as Oby, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly beating her maid, Miracle, to death on Lateef Aregbe Street, Ago Palace Way, Okota, in the Isolo area of the state.
Punch Metro learnt that the mother of two had descended on the eight-year-old on Saturday and beaten her till she collapsed and gave up the ghost.
She was allegedly plotting with some persons to dispose of the corpse when some neighbours raised the alarm and reported the case to the police.
The suspect was subsequently detained at the Isolo Police Division.
A resident of the area, who did not want to be identified, said the suspect had been beating Miracle for months.

Customs uncovers another container-load of arms in Lagos port

The Nigeria Customs Service, Tin Can Island command on Tuesday intercepted a container laden with 440 arms and
ammunition of various sizes and designs.
Speaking during the seizure, the zonal commander, Tin can Island command, Monday Abue, who represented the Comptroller General, said that the cargo was shipped from Turkey.
He said that the consignment was declared as Plaster of Paris by the importer.
He explained that the container with registration number PONU 210024/1, was picked up based on intelligence report adding that investigations were ongoing to unmask the importer.
According to him, the pump action rifles were manufactured in the United States of America and Italy.
He said, “they are pump action rifles of various designs and also the single barrel device that you are familiar with.
