Uduaghan sacks Finance Commissioner

The Governor of Delta, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has sacked Finance Commissioner, Mr. Bernard Okumagba.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Ovuozourie Macaulay, which announced the minor cabinet re-shuffle, stated that “Mr. Ken Okpara, Commissioner for Economic Planning, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance to replace Mr. Bernard Okumagba who has been dropped from the State Executive Council.”
In the meantime, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Planning is to take charge of the running of the affairs in the Ministry until a new commissioner is appointed.
In a related development, Commissioner for Special Duties, State Liaison Office, Abuja, Comrade Gloria Okolugbo, has been recalled to Asaba, the state capital.
The statement added that the Head of Service will soon announce her replacement, while “the Overseas Development Agency currently in the Ministry of Economic Planning has now been returned to the Ministry of Finance, its original base.”
