Strike a light! World's tallest building zapped by lightning bolt

The Burj hit by lightning

A STUNNING lightning bolt strikes the world's tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The half-a-mile-high tower was zapped during a spectacular electric storm that passed through the Emirate.
Expat Ian Powell captured this incredible shot of the bolt connecting with the spire at the top of the 2,716ft Burj and lighting up the night sky.
Ian, 37, an estate agent originally from Brighton, said: "A cloud-like wall hit downtown. Then there was a massive amount of rain, thunder and lightning.
"It looked like a very tall building being zapped from the heavens."
