Gay Man Murders Lover In Lagos Hotel

Another social media love tragedy has occurred in Lagos after a homosexual allegedly murdered the male sex partner he met on facebook in a hotel room in Lagos.
A similiar incident happened in Festac in 2012 when Cynthia Osokogu’s facebook lovers lured her to Lagos and allegedly murdered her in a hotel room in Festac Town, Lagos.
In the latest incident, the police at State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Yaba, arrested the 24-year old suspected murderer, Michael Okorocha, and the manager of the popular hotel at Oke Afa area of Lagos State, western Nigeria, over the murder of the 20-year old youth identified as Okere Chinedu John.
Okorocha allegedly used a jack knife and sliced John’s throat in the hotel room and he bled to death.
P.M.NEWS learnt that Okorocha and the late John suspected to be homosexuals, met on social media and became friends.
According to police sources, Okorocha, who resides at Mafon Area in Ogun State, allegedly lured John who resides in Lekki-Ajah area of Lagos State to the hotel to have sex with him.
The police sources said that while they were inside the room, John resisted Okorocha’s attempt to have sex with him and in anger, Okorocha used a knife and sliced John’s throat and he bled to death.
After the incident, Okorocha reportedly lied to the hotel staff on duty that he wanted to buy something outside the hotel and escaped.
The following day  when the management went on routine check in the rooms at the hotel, they discovered the naked body of John with blood all over the room.
The matter was reported at Ejigbo police Station and the manager was arrested. The police later tracked down Okorocha through the help of his parents in Mafon area.
The matter was transferred to SCID, Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
Okorocha reportedly confessed to the police that he murdered John in anger.
He said after paying to lodge in the executive suite, John refused to satisfy him sexually, so he had to kill him.
When PM News reporter visited the hotel at the weekend, the hotel was still shut by the police.
A staff of the hotel who confirmed the incident declined to speak further on the matter.
The police have charged Okorocha before Ebute Meta Magistrates’ court with murder.
He was remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi Prison pending the advice of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DDP.
