Tinubu Recovering In Us Hospital – Intervenes In Lagos Governoship In-Fighting

Contrary to reports on the state of health of  Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu ,reports from the United States indicated that the  recuperating leader of the All Progressives Congress, has been hosting his political allies and issuing directives to his caucus. Rumours have been  doing the rounds  about the state of health of  the APC leader, with  some reports insinuating that he is being  afflicted by  one ailment or the other. But top opposition political leaders are reported to be streaming to the US to visit and hold meetings with the former Lagos governor. A team of political leaders from Lagos State just returned from their ‘get well’ trip, during which Lagos governorhip succession was reportedly discussed.
As at the time of filling this report,  the Nigeria Tribune gathered that another set of political leaders from the North  were making arrangement to visit the opposition leader, with reports confirming that Tinubu is getting well and on top of political situation in the country. A party chief who narrated  the activities of Asiwaju in the United States, stated that on his sick bed, the leader has had to issue directives on recent rumpus in the Lagos chapter of the party, especially on the 2015 governorship.
It was learnt that some parties and government officials were in the United States recently, to seek his intervention and decision on 2015 succession to Governor Raji Fashola. The delegation were said to have directly asked the opposition leader to make his  preference known on the succession issue.
The team was reported to have hinged thier request on allegations that the state governor has already endorsed one of the commissioners as his successor. Governor Fashola has, however, denied endorsing anybody as successor.
Asiwaju was quoted as having told the delegation that they should  go back and meet Governor Fashola on the succession issue, and  according to the source, Tinubu said whatever name they agreed on should now be forwarded to him.
Aside from  attending to  Lagos politics on his hospital bed in the US, the Nigerian Tribune was told that  leaders of opposition from the North, have been visiting Asiwaju for meetings on the political situation in the country, including the ongoing rift within the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
