Ekene Dili Chukwu Family Loses Prime Properties To Amcon Because Of Debts!
In the Ilodibe household, wonders shall never cease. In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that anything is possible in this super-polygamous family.
As the scramble for and partition of Ekene Dili Chukwu’s financial empire rage on, AMCON has secured a Federal high court injunction and has taken possession of the late chief’s Allen Avenue mansion, his offices in Jibowu and a host of other very valuable properties. This is because of huge debts owed banks by the family business. These loans were taken even before the death of the late chief in 2007 but rather than concentrate on paying back the monies, the family has been divided on who gets what in a very dangerous fight that seems to just be kicking off.
According to a top ex-staff of Ekene Dili Chukwu, just like most big companies, the company took loans and with the help of the estate wing of the company, the transport wing was able to repay the loans and continue business. But with various factions laying claims to different sectors of the business empire, it is impossible to repay such loans. So now AMCON has moved in and the family has suddenly woken up and is fighting to reclaim its very prized assets from AMCON. We shall keep you updated of development.
Going forward, I told of how the third wife of the late Ekene Dili Chukwu Transport magnate died with a very strange illness.See the report here in case if you missed it
Following the death of Ngozi Pauline Ilodibe, team of Golobal excellence reporters immediately travelled to Otolo Nnewi, Anambra State for the burial of this woman as we suspected that it would be an eventful one.
The burial ceremony held at the expansive family mansion of the late chief which he bequeathed to his first son, Ekene Jnr; as tradition demands. But surprisingly, the burial was not well attended by both family and friends of the Ilodibes. Ngozi Ilodibe from our investigation was very popular with her husband’s kinsmen.
Unlike the second wife and matriarch of the family, Ifeoma who is widely recognized by all, a lot of people see the late Ngozi and her children as intruders. This is so principally because out of her five children, only one was biologically fathered by Ekene Dili Chukwu. She had these other four for her first husband whom she abandoned to marry Chief Augustine Ilodibe. Ifeoma who was said to be away from the country was not at the burial, neither did any of her children. The daughters of the first wife led by Akuoma were present on the evening of the wake-keep within the area but refused to attend the wake-keep.
Rather shockingly, they refused to enter the main family premises where the wake-keep took place and remained at their uncle’s house nearby. The girls who were in a very bitter fight with the third wife before she became sick and died showed no remorse whatsoever but according to family sources, that evening they were in celebration mood that Ngozi was dead. Most of their relatives watched them helplessly as they drank with excitement to celebrate the death of their father’s third wife and longtime rival over the family’s sprawling estate in Onitsha. They were quite a sight to behold.
Headlining the girls was Akuoma Ilodibe, the one who is said to have seized the estate company of the family and was bitterly in a do-or-die fight with both Pauline and her first son Odera, who is now in charge at the Onitsha wing. It was shameful scenario as passersby and village people wondered aloud how this enmity could have reached this level. Before the burial ceremony went halfway, Ekene Jnr. arrived and gave the marching orders that she could not be buried in his compound but in an empty forest land that also belongs to him not too far from their family house. That was where Pauline Ilodibe was laid to rest.
