The 2012 Channel O Music Video Awards, hosted by Ice Prince South African model Bonang Matheba went down last night in Soweto, South Africa and once again Nigerian music dominated. Nigeria artistes bagged awards in 6 categories out of 14…impressive. D’Banj won the ‘Most Gifted Male Video of the Year’ award, while P-Square walked away with the ‘Most Gifted Group/Duo’ award for their collaboration with May D & Akon on ‘Chop my money,’ another Nigerian collaboration that was recognized was Flavour and Tiwa Savage‘s ‘Oyi’ remix which won the ‘Most Gifted R&B Music Video of the year’ award.
Other winners were Davido for ‘Most Gifted New Comer of the Year’, BrymO, who won the ‘Most Gifted Pop’ for his hit song ‘Ara‘ and Ice Prince, for ‘Most Gifted Hip Hop Video of the Year.’
