Teenage girl beheaded in Northern Afghanistan for refusing marriage

A teenage girl was beheaded by a relative in northern Afghanistan after she refused to marry him, police said on Wednesday.
“Gisa, 15, was beheaded on Tuesday by her cousin Sadeq, in Khanabad district of Kunduz province after she and her family refused to allow the girl to marry him,”’police spokesman Sayed Sarwar Hosseini said.
“Police arrested Sadeq and his friend Massoud, who had helped him to kill the girl,” Hosseini said.
Sadeq confessed that he killed the girl after she and her family rejected his request to marry her in spite of repeated appeals, Hosseini said.
“On Tuesday, Sadeq and his friend, Massoud, entered the girl’s house. When they found out she was alone, they beheaded her with a knife.”
