Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Friday discovered a 600-acre hemp farm at Ode-Ekiti in the Gbonyin Local Government Area of the western Nigerian state of Ekiti.
The Commandant of the NDLEA in Ekiti, Mr Dele Akingbade, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ado-Ekiti that the hemp farm was the largest individually-owned hemp farm in Ekiti.
Akingbade said that the cost of the hemp farm was too huge to be determined immediately. He described the discovery of the farm as one of the `biggest feats’ of the agency in the state.
Akingbade said the agency made the discovery on a vast expanse of land on July 24. According to him, the discovery follows a tip-off by concerned members of the public.
The NDLEA chief said that four suspects, all men, were apprehended in
connection with the discovery. Akingbade said that the four suspects were arrested while working on the farm.
He said that the suspects, who confessed to being labourers, disclosed that the owner of the farm paid them N1,000 per day as wage.
Akingbade said that the agency had been making efforts to arrest the owner of the farm through a 24-hour surveillance mounted by men of the agency.
He said that the suspects, who were still in the agency’s custody, would be prosecuted soon.
The commandant said that officials of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime from Vienna had visited the farm, due to its largeness.

A 22 year old Chinese man named Xiaolian has had a new nose grown on his forehead after loosing his original nose in a car accident. Xiaolian had the treatment to create a replacement for his original nose which was infected and deformed following the accident in 2012. He actually left his damaged nose unattended to after the accident which led to the infection and eventual deformity, leaving the surgeons unable to repair it.
Surgeons in China were left with no option than to create another nose for the man to breathe properly and then transplant it to the original place. The nose was created by placing a skin tissue expander onto Xiaolian’s forehead. This was cut into the shape of a nose and was supported by cartilage taken from the man’s ribs.

The unfinished building where security forces killed at least seven squatters on Friday September 20, in the Apo neighbourhood of Abuja, belongs to Mrs. Adunni Oluwole Salisu, believed to be the sister to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Pemium Times reports exclusively.
Documents from the Abuja Geographical Information Systems (AGIS) shows that the property, located at No. 8 Bamanga Tukur Street, Gudu District, near the Gudu cemetery, belongs to Mrs. Salisu.
Mrs Adunni Oluwole Salusi was said to have engaged the services of SSS operatives led by Marilyn Ogah and combined team of soldiers to get the squatters out of her building. Unfortunately 7 people were killed in the operation though the SSS said they stormed the uncompleted building because they got intelligence report that Boko Haram members were hiding in the building and were planning to strike Abuja.

OWERRI—A mild drama played out in Orlu, ImoState, when a commercial motorcyclist, a father of two (names withheld), was caught pants down making love to a married woman in a lonely bush.
While the 45-year-old housewife was making a case of rape against the randy motorcyclist, the 30-year-old man insisted that the woman was his concubine.
Giving account of what transpired to the police, the woman said she engaged the motorcyclist at Orlu to take her to her matrimonial home at Obibi-Ochasi.
She said when they got to a solitary area along the route, the man stopped ostensibly to ease himself.
She further told the police that while she was waiting for him to finish easing himself, the man emerged and started asking that they sleep together, adding that when she refused the amorous advance, the man grabbed her and forcefully lifted her into the bush.
The woman equally claimed that the rapist tore her inner wears to shreds, over-powered and raped her.
In his defence, the man claimed that the woman had been his concubine for years, adding that he had previously had fun with her at different times and places, including the spot where they were caught in the act.
He also claimed that he called the woman on her mobile line and asked her to meet him at the agreed spot in Orlu.
The man also claimed that when they got to the bush, the woman stripped herself naked, spread her wrapper on the ground and laid down before he started the act.
The randy motorcyclist, however, agreed that along the line there was a minor misunderstanding on the amount he should pay after they had satisfied themselves.
While the man claimed that the woman was asking for N500 for the service, he offered N200, which he said was the only money on him at the time.
One owner of the new iPhone 5S said: 'I'm glad Apple's scanner recognises nipples - it just goes to show how ridiculous the premise is in the first place.
'Now if anyone tries to mug me, they'll have to cut one of my nipples off if they want to use my phone, and I'm not telling them which one.'
The latest Apple handset comes with technology which means they can be accessed by placing the owner's finger on the control button.
It lets owners register up to five different prints to unlock the phone and pay for apps.

Yesterday the unbelieveable happened on board the United Airlines. The plane was scheduled to arrive the US from Nigeria but was unavoidably delayed midway due to the sudden death of a passenger that was on board the craft.
They departed Lagos-Nigeria last night at about 11pm the USA. But a passenger, a man who was unidentified by my sources on board the flight, was said to have died on board.
Due to the unfortunate incident the plane was diverted for an emergency landing at Dakar where the body was properly wrapped and kept in the toilet of the plane to avoid immediate decomposition or any foul smell for the remaining of the journey.
The United Airlines plane was reported to have finally arrived at its destination just a few hours ago, after a very long delay. my source maintains that details of the cause of death and the identity of the passenger is still unknown
and the shocked passengers have all dispersed to their destinations.
Super Eagles player John Utaka has delved into acting. He has featured in a movie titled 'Battered' which will be premiered in London this week. Sources say, his fiancee, Fatimah Jabbe (right), a Gambian actress was the one who introduced him to acting.
From Encomium Weekly Magazine;
Another shocking revelation has surfaced on the late Prophet Ireti Ajanaku. One of his close aides who worked for him for five years, Emmanuel Olasemeji who is a furniture maker, opened up to Encomium Weekly on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, on the late Prophet he knew…
How did you become one of late Prophet Ajanaku’s aides?
The first day I saw him, I was not attracted to him because of his physical look. He bleached. However, when my boss who was one of his church members introduced me to him, he prayed for me. My decision to visit his church was based on curiosity. That was in 2007. Sincerely, there is no way you won’t marvel at his preaching. He preached with persuasive and authoritative words.
I was wowed. And that was when he was about completing his multi-million naira mansion. And most of the church members volunteered to assist the builders. He asked me to work for God in his house and do the furniture. I can’t lie to you, when Prophet Ajanaku spoke you would think it was God. His church members saw him as god. He often told us that he wines and dines with God and that if he wants anybody to die tomorrow, it would happen. We all respected and feared him. You dare not say no to his request.
He said he had the power to save someone from ultimate death. My decision to open up was not to malign his character but be factual. Even before his death, I confessed this feat openly to him. I can’t doubt his power but not as a Christian. For instance, someone came to see him. He said some people predicted he was going to die at a certain date. Thus, he was warned not to go out. Prophet Ajanaku closed his eyes for a minute and the next moment said the man should go out that day that nothing would happen to him. And nothing happened to him indeed.
I can say that though he was very powerful but his lifestyle and character were questionable.
Kukere crooner Iyanya was recently interviewed on HiponTV and he said
“If I told you I have not been close to a girl in six months, would you believe me?” It’s hard because
Everybody believes oh this is Iyanya, he whines his waist, he’s a male prostitute. But I mean I’m not complaining. My job is to do good music and that’s the biggest challenge that I have” *side eyes*

For failing to appear in court on two consecutive dates of adjournment of her matter, a bench warrant has been issued against a Lagos business woman, Ijeoma Ifudu Ikem, for contempt of court.
She is facing trial for allegedly giving the police in Lagos false information about threat to her life and impersonating a Deputy Inspector General of Police.
The case was instituted against Ifeoma by the police at the Bar-Beach Division, Victoria Island, Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
The Chief Magistrate in charge of Court 4 at the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, issued the warrant of arrest against her.
The bench warrant, according to court records, was issued by Chief magistrate A.F. O. Botoku on 16 September, 2013, when the matter came up for hearing and the defendant and the surety were not in court and there was no representation.
Following the order, Sergeant Phillip Osijale swung into action and after about a week of manhunt for them, arrested the surety in Surulere area of Lagos.
The surety was taken before the magistrate.
At the court, the counsel to the defendant, Tolu Mokwolu, begged the court to have mercy on the surety who he claimed happened to be the brother to the defendant and give him time to produce the defendant at the next court sitting.
He pledged that he would not jump bail.
“Your honour, the defendant had been sick since August and was granted permission to travel and treat herself by Court 21 presided over by Mrs. L. Y. Balogun who started the matter,” he begged.
But when the magistrate demanded for the copy of the order, counsel to the defendant could not provide any proof.
In her response in the open court, A.F. O. Botoku said: “Listen, counsel, what you are telling this court are lies. Remember you wrote a petition against my colleague who was handling the matter and the case was transferred to Court 4 presided over by me on 4 September, 2013. Neither you, defendant nor the surety came to court and there was no representation, and the matter was adjourned for further hearing till 16 September, 2013.
“And on the adjourned date, none of you came to court before I was forced to issue a bench warrant of arrest against the defendant and the surety for contempt of court.
“Let me also make it clear to you that since the matter was transferred to my court, I have not set my eyes on the defendant and I have not granted her any permission to travel out and treat herself. So what you are telling this court are bundles of lies, I insist.”
Before giving her ruling, the magistrate further said: “You surety, where do you work?”
The surety replied that he works in a bank.
“I would give you a second chance to produce your sister in court and you must write an undertaking and deposit it in court as proof and I would advise you to go and tell your sister that she did not like you, because if she did, she would not allow you to be suffering for what you probably don’t know anything about.”
The surety quickly wrote the undertaking and was allowed to go home and come back to the court on the next adjourned date of the mater, 25 September, 2013, for the harmonization of the undertaking with other parties involved in the matter.
The defendant, Ijeoma Ifudu Ikem, 49, was arrested and arraigned at Court 21 at the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court presided over by Mrs. L.Y. Balogun by the police at the Bar Beach Police Division, Victoria Island, Lagos in March, 2013.
She was accused of giving the police false information that a woman, Ibitamuna Iyama and her aunt threatened to send militants to her residence at 25, Atlantic Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos to kill her.
The police also accused her in the two-count charge with suit No. U/9A/2013, of using a man to impersonate a Deputy Inspector General of Police.
She pleaded not guilty to the charge and was admitted to bail.

Swaziland’s King Mswati III has chosen an 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant as his 14th wife.
According to his palace spokesman, the king has introduced to the nation his new liphovela (royal fiancee), 18 years old Sindiswa Dlamini.
The young woman graduated from Mbabane’s St. Francis High School last year and is a finalist in the Miss Cultural Heritage beauty pageant. As part of Swazi custom, King Mswati III, 45, is permitted to choose a new bride every year. Hence, thousands of young girls gather annually and dance for the king at a reed dance in order to give King Mswati III the opportunity to choose another wife.
The wedding only takes place once the chosen virgin bride falls pregnant. Wives are kept in their palace, surrounded by bodyguards, and they can’t really go anywhere unless the king says so. The only thing they do is go to America once a year, as the king gives them a shopping allowance.
The father of 27 children, 45-year-old King Mswati III was a guest at the William and Kate wedding as well as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations last summer.
Three wives left his household in recent years. The latest, Queen LaGija, fled the palace in 2012 claiming years of physical and emotional abuse.
Another queen, LaDube, was reportedly abused after she was caught in bed with the justice minister, a close friend of the king. Mswati had kidnapped and married the queen when she was 16 in 2005.
The king has also come under fire for his household’s lavish lifestyle. Mswati reportedly has a personal fortune of around $200 million and the UN estimates that 70 percent of his 1.2 million subjects live below the poverty line.

Gabrielle Union parades her toned figure in a pink bikini as she hugs and kisses beau Dwyane Wade on the beach
Few knew that Gabrielle Union and her Miami Heat basketball player beau Dwyane Wade broke up briefly earlier this year.
Gabrielle and Dwyane were certainly hotter than a volcano as they enjoyed a loved-up day on the beach in sunny Malibu, California on Saturday.
The Bring It On star, 40, was scantily clad in a fuchsia two-piece bathing suit that showed off her fabulously toned body.
Denrele Edun on the Rubbin’ Minds TV show talked about Goldie, his sexual orientation and his relationship with Charly Boy. He described himself as a sexual outlaw and said that the picture of him kissing Charly Boy was photoshopped.

It was reported sometime ago, that Genevieve Nnaji and Benin Republic actress, Ella Martins were lesbian-partners. In a recent interview with Gossippme blog, she reveals the true state of their friendship:
Genevieve is a very good friend of mine…we met way back in 2004 and we have been good friends since then. The story that we are lovers must have come from another female friend of hers. I am saying this because since 2004, there have been no such lesbian stories but suddenly it sprung up. Towards the end of last year, I came to Nigeria and I stayed with Genevieve. Although we stayed under the same roof, we slept in different rooms.
There was a time during my visit that we both went to see a friend in a hotel in Lekki and people saw us going in. We later went clubbing that night with the friend and which I think is a normal thing for girls to club if they want to. But that was when the rumours got worse, that we went into the hotel to sleep with each other!!!
She said it’s not the first time the Press would label her a lesbian but she has developed a thick skin and so it doesn’t bother her because she knows she is not a lesbian! Genevieve and I have known each other since 2004 and she really is a nice person if you get to know her. We talk on phone a lot and we discuss life’s issues like normal girls do…she is a wonderful person.I guess it’s because she is a famous person that some undesirable elements want to tarnish her image…and mine too. The Press make things worse too. There was a time I performed with Tony Tetuila and there were rumours after then that we were dating. But I just want to emphasize here that Genevieve and I are not in any form of sexual relationship, we are just good friends.

The naked woman in the picture above, is said to be the wife of a school proprietor at Orokam, Obadigbo Local Government area of Benue State. She lost her husband on Tuesday, and was accused by his people (Idoma people) of having committed adultery which she admitted she was guilty of. Further revelation by members of Orokam stated that there is an oracle in the town called “ALEKWU” which the people use to punish married women that cheat on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities.
The Oracle supposedly issues out a warning to the husband of any adulterous woman of which if he fails to take appropriate actions or return to the village from wherever he is to perform the proper rites for cleansing himself and his family, he will die. “This was the case of the proprietor as he failed to adhere to the instruction of the oracle” a villager revealed. They had to walk the town naked in a bid to averting the punishment and eventually cleansing the land. She was afterwards sent packing to her father’s house and banned from attending the funeral of her husband.

They said this happened in Benue State and the two girls fought over a sugar daddy. But a better source has said, it is not true, that the girls fought because one of them called the other's mother a prostitute. In order to retaliate, she cut her friend's face deeply with a razor blade. It was learnt that people who were passing by, who saw how deep the cut was, ordered the other girl to remove her clothes to serve as punishment for her. But when she refused, the men forcefully removed her clothes and stripped her naked.
It's so disgusting and this is unbelievable. What she has done is wrong, she shouldn't have used a razor blade on her friend. But men, is this the latest now? Whenever a girl steals, fights or misbehaves, instead of you to report her to the right authorities, you take the laws into your hands. You strip her naked just because you want to see her nakedness. God will judge you all. SHAME on every man who takes part in this.

“The core objective is the promotion of cultural integration, racial equality, global peace and co existence,” said Ethel.
Meri Asatiani, former Miss Russia and Miss Tourism World, expressed her excitement on the pageant holding in Nigeria for the first time ever.
“I am really excited to be a part of the first ever Exquisite Face of the World pageant in Nigeria. This is a very beautiful country with welcoming people. There is so much to learn about this country, from the food to the different cultures and I know this year’s contestants will feel the same,” the queen said.
Since its inception in Accra, Ghana, 2006 and the pageant holding for four years successively with the support of former President John Kuffour, the pageant has developed to become one of the biggest beauty pageants to reckon with on the continent.
The African traders in southern China are the flipside of this deepening relationship. Entrepreneurs like Diallo have made Chungking Mansions one of the most important passageways for Chinese gadgets air-freighted to Africa.
According to Gordon Mathews, professor of anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, up to a fifth of all mobiles in Africa have passed through the building’s corridors in recent years.
But while this 17-storey hive is the storefront, the engines behind this trade lie in the industrial heartland of neighbouring Guangdong province in southern China.
This mecca for low-cost manufacturing has drawn entrepreneurs from across Africa, creating one of the largest black communities in Asia.
Five more governors are said to be about to join the Abubakar Baraje faction, otherwise known as New Peoples Democratic Party(nPDP).
The five governors, who are drawn from two geo-political zones in the North and South, are said to be upset by alleged continuous manipulations in the party by the Presidency and the chairman, thereby alienating them from the mainstream.
One of the governors told Vanguard that they were just waiting for the appropriate moment.
He said, “What will happen is that very soon some of the PDP governors, who are watching the rest of us from the sidelines, will join and declare their support for us.
“It is because of the likely overwhelming support, which the Tukur group and the Presidency know we enjoy that they keep on talking about peace and reconciliation when in reality they are not ready for an early resolution of the crisis rocking the party.”

Contrary to reports on the state of health of Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu ,reports from the United States indicated that the recuperating leader of the All Progressives Congress, has been hosting his political allies and issuing directives to his caucus. Rumours have been doing the rounds about the state of health of the APC leader, with some reports insinuating that he is being afflicted by one ailment or the other. But top opposition political leaders are reported to be streaming to the US to visit and hold meetings with the former Lagos governor. A team of political leaders from Lagos State just returned from their ‘get well’ trip, during which Lagos governorhip succession was reportedly discussed.
As at the time of filling this report, the Nigeria Tribune gathered that another set of political leaders from the North were making arrangement to visit the opposition leader, with reports confirming that Tinubu is getting well and on top of political situation in the country. A party chief who narrated the activities of Asiwaju in the United States, stated that on his sick bed, the leader has had to issue directives on recent rumpus in the Lagos chapter of the party, especially on the 2015 governorship.
It was learnt that some parties and government officials were in the United States recently, to seek his intervention and decision on 2015 succession to Governor Raji Fashola. The delegation were said to have directly asked the opposition leader to make his preference known on the succession issue.
The team was reported to have hinged thier request on allegations that the state governor has already endorsed one of the commissioners as his successor. Governor Fashola has, however, denied endorsing anybody as successor.
Asiwaju was quoted as having told the delegation that they should go back and meet Governor Fashola on the succession issue, and according to the source, Tinubu said whatever name they agreed on should now be forwarded to him.
Aside from attending to Lagos politics on his hospital bed in the US, the Nigerian Tribune was told that leaders of opposition from the North, have been visiting Asiwaju for meetings on the political situation in the country, including the ongoing rift within the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.
A gruesome attack by Boko Haram insurgents disguised in military uniforms in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Borno has killed at least 87 people, a state government official said Thursday.
The Islamist insurgents also burnt scores of homes and buildings in the late Tuesday attack in the town of Benisheik. They set up checkpoints and gunned down motorists who tried to flee, according to multiple witness accounts.
“Eighty-seven bodies were recovered in the bush and our people are still searching for more,” Saidu Yakubu of the Environmental Protection Agency in northeastern Borno state told journalists.
He briefed reporters who accompanied Borno’s Governor Kashim Shettima to the scene of the massacre.
Details of the attack in the town which has been previously been targeted by Boko Haram first emerged Wednesday.
The phone network in Borno has been down since the middle of May when Nigeria imposed a state of emergency across much of the northeast amid a military offensive aimed at crushing Boko Haram’s four-year insurgency.
