In a month’s time, it will be exactly a year that controversial Lagos Prophet, Ireti Ajanaku of the Christ Revival Victory Church died. The light-skinned Pastor, who died in controversial circumstances got so many of his church members asking questions. This is because of the allegations laid against him that he belonged to different secret cults. That is not all, while people were trying to come to terms with what exactly killed him, the question of who would bury him between his wife, Joy and his family became a very big issue.
Perhaps the biggest fallout of his death is the fact that 11 months after Ajanaku died, he is yet to be buried. The thinking within the late prophet’s household right now is that it’s time for him to be finally committed to mother earth. Last week, City People had an interview with Pastor Ajanaku’s wife on the real reasons she failed to bury her husband and why she has suddenly had a change of heart.

Worried by local and international criticism, President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday explained his government’s seeming inaction in rescuing the over 200 abducted Chibok schoolgirls.
Mr. Jonathan, in an article he wrote for the Washington Post, said he was “deeply concerned” about the abduction. He said he knows his silence on the abduction “is being misused by partisan critics to suggest inaction or even weakness.”
“I have had to remain quiet about the continuing efforts by Nigeria’s military, police and investigators to find the girls kidnapped in April from the town of Chibok by the terrorist group Boko Haram,” the president said. “I am deeply concerned, however, that my silence as we work to accomplish the task at hand is being misused by partisan critics to suggest inaction or even weakness.”

Some Boko Haram members who were arrested in Maiduguri allegedly revealed that that most of their fellow terrorists are fleeing Sambisa Forest due to “spiritual attacks from mysterious snakes and bees,” which have killed many of their leaders, Vanguard reports.
The terrorists, who were captured by the Civilian JTF vigilante group, reportedly gave varying accounts of being haunted by the animals.
One of the insurgents named Kolo Mustapha reportedly said:
“Most of us are fleeing because there are too many snakes and bees now in the forest. Once they bite, they disappear and the victims do not last for 24 hours.
We were told that the aggrieved people who had suffered from our deadly mission, including the ghosts of some of those we killed, are the ones turning into the snake and bees.
They (leaders) believe the Chibok people are using juju to pursue us because of their children said to have been taken by our leaders.”
Mustapha also allegedly said that sect members have realised their mistakes and repented. He promised Civilian JTF vigilante group that if they are spared they would help the community in capturing their fellow insurgents.

Ghana’s Joselyn Dumas will say Yes I Do. Even though the television presenter and actress believes in marriage, she says being married or in a relationship makes you committed to the person and she thinks that is too much for her.
Joselyn was on a radio programme last Friday where they discussed the topic ‘Can A Man And Woman Be Just Friends?’ and Joselyn came all out and said she prefers friends with benefits.
Here is what she said;
As friends sometimes sex could be needed to test if a relationship is possible. Then she continued;
“I think that when there is a tag in a relationship, it becomes a problem, then the expectations are quite high. But when you have a friend with benefits you see how it goes. If it goes well, and we eventually decide that we are going to take it a step further, Kudos. But once this is my boyfriend, this is my girlfriend or I’m married, there is that pressure, I don’t personally like that, so I will have a friend with benefit” she said.
Who else prefers a friend with benefit? Don't be shy, please tell us why.

The pastor in a yellow shirt with two of the married women he impregnated
The story of the General Overseer of Vineyard Ministry in Enugu will make you laugh, but then it could have been jazz. I strongly believe he must have jazzed the women. The Pastor who has impregnated over 20 members of his church including married women, mothers and daughters said, he did it because it was a commandment from God.
I don’t sleep with them until the spirit tells me to go ahead, he said.
But the Pastor met his waterloo when his wife couldn’t cope with the number of women and babies living in the church premises any more and wrote the police who came in and arrested him. Find the story which happened in Enugu

Mrs Bode-George takes over from Mr Olufemi Ajayi, who is now the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF). The appointment is with immediate effect.
Bode George was arrested and jailed for fraud and abuse of office when he served as chairman of the Nigeria Ports Authority, but his conviction was later upturned by the Supreme Court.
Federal government has frozen all bank accounts being operated by Adamawa State government amid impeachment moves allegedly sponsored by the presidency against the state governor, Murtala Nyako.
The Director of Press and Public Affairs in Adamawa Government House, Ahmad Sajoh, confirmed the development which he said has exposed the desperate efforts by President Goodluck Jonathan to witch hunt officials he perceived as enemies even if it means subjecting the electorate to hardship.
He said the closure of accounts would affect workers and salaries and social services especially during Ramadan fasting.
The Rivers State Government is concerned about the safety of Governor Amaechi who is right now being held hostage commando style by soldiers and federal government security agents in Odudu, Ondo state.
Governor Amaechi as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ forum and as an APC governor and chieftain had left Port Harcourt this morning for Ekiti state where he was to join his brother governor in his last mega rally before the elections.
Governor Amaechi was ambushed and refused entry into Ekiti by military personnel acting on orders from above. He made to turn back and return to Akure where his chattered aircraft was parked but was chased and rounded by armed soldiers and security personnel in Odudu, Ondo state. According to the captain who led the operation, he had orders not to allow the governor entry or exit.
In the meantime, the chattered aircraft that conveyed he governor has been grounded while the minsters of Defence, police Affairs and Minister of state for Defence have landed at the Akure airport.
The Rivers State government is especially worried that Federal government and President Jonathan have singled out Governor Amaechi for harassment and attack.
While we hold the person and office of the President in utmost regards, we believe that it is unacceptable that the presidency would disrespect the person and office of an elected governor of a federating unit and consistently hound him.
The Rivers state government is all more worried as Ondo saga is coming on the heels of a plot by six PDP lawmakers this morning to carry out a kangaroo impeachment of the duly elected governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, con first at Krisdara hotels and later Bauchi street, Port Harcourt.
Ordinarily such banality should be ignored as it is neither legal nor constitutional. However in the light of the recent attempts to hoist a Chief Judge on Rivers people through the back door and the attendant rumours that the reason for that desperate act was to make it easier for the PDP to actualize its sinister daydream of ousting Governor Amaechi before May 29, 2015, we believe that it has become necessary to draw the attention of Rivers people, Nigerians and the international community to the situation in Rivers State.
Only yesterday, in preparation for this tragicomedy, the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) accused Governor Amaechi of importing terrorists into the state and the region. They continued their diatribe by demanding that the governor of Rivers State be put under surveillance. The State Government wouldn’t have dignified the PDP’s display of ignorance with a response but for the fact that these accusations coupled with today’s actions are omniuos signs of how far the PDP is willing to go in its quest to cling onto power by all means.
The antecedents of impunity on the part of the leadership of the PDP are instructive and the party’s desperation to harm and stop anyone they perceive as major threat to their crumpling electoral fortunes next year is no longer news. The detention attempt and incident at the Kano International Airport last week are still fresh in the minds of Nigerians. Also, the call to put Gov Amaechi under surveillance (or is it house arrest?) on the same day that PDP started effort to unseat the Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Murtala Nyako, is enough indication of the script already written by a jittery PDP
It is sad that the insane minds of the authors of the PDP accusation are jeopardizing police investigations of the 486 travellers who were intercepted in Aba, Abia State, and who are still being screened. One only wishes that the PDP would address the issues of the insecurity in the country with as much fervor and vigour as it deploys towards witch hunting its political opponents
The River Government wishes to state that the world knows those who feather the nest of cultists and militants and for whom they are canon fodder. Governor Amaechi’s position on cultisim, violence and insecurity are clear as is his commitment to fighting poverty and improving the lives of our present and future generations.
The Rivers State Government will not be deterred in its efforts to deliver good governance and ddemocratic dividends to our people.
We appeal to all Rivers people appeals to all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and citizens in the state to remain calm in the face of these provocations.
We call on the Security Agencies to exhibit professionalism in their conduct of affairs. We appeal to all well meaning people in Nigeria and around the world to please call the PDP to order before they truncate our democracy.
It appears to us that the PDP clearly have no interest in the peace and stability either Rivers state.
We are mindful of these mischievous elements but continue to call for tolerance and eternal vigilance. We are certain that the God who reigns in the affairs of Rivers people will again deliver us from this evil and terror that stalks us at noon day

New Emir of Kano and former CBN governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has two wives, one of them (his first wife) he's been married to for 25 years.
Sanusi married Hajia Sadiya (nee Ado Bayero - pictured above) the 7th daughter and 16th child of late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero in the 80s. Hajia Sadiya, who rarely gives interviews, has finally opened up on how she met and married Sanusi.
"I knew I was going to be betrothed but I didn't know when since I wasn't being asked when. I met my husband through my own family - he is like my brother. He grew up in the Emir palace and I thought he was my elder brother because he was always with my older brothers. I grew up seeing him in our house so I was surprised when he started to show interest in me. I later discovered we were not related and married him.
On her successful marriage and motherhood
"I thank the Almighty Allah for the great gift of children. When I married him, I didn't have a child immediately till about three years later. When we had our first son, we were filled with joy. As for marriage, staying married has to do with patience and obedience - these two have helped my marriage. Your husband should always be the head of the family no matter your status "
On her most memorable day
"My joy was when my husband was turbanned because we looked forward to it but it came when we least expected it. I was so full of joy that day."
FYI: Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the grandson of Sir Muhammadu Sanusi, the 11th Emir and 54th ruler of Kano.
The abducted daughters of a director at the federal ministry of works, Dr. Samson Opaluwa have been released by their captors after nine days. Ejura Opaluwa, 23, and Unekwu Opaluwa, 19, were abducted at about 5pm on June 8 by gunmen at their house at 55 Associated Estate, Impresit Karmo in Abuja.
The gunmen reportedly came to rob the family, but dissatisfied with the amount of money they found in the house, they went on to abduct the ladies to make more money. According to a source close to the family, the young ladies were released in the wee hours of the morning. “No ransom was paid,” the source quoted a relative of the ladies as saying. “We were surprised when we saw them.”
An uncle of the ladies, Amade Opaluwa, also confirmed the release of the ladies to Us, saying the abductors were initially demanding a ransom of N200 million for their release. The Opaluwa family has said it will speak to the press about the abduction and release of their daughters on Tuesday.
