Krim Murders: Yoselyn Ortega, alleged NYC "killer nanny," resented her employers, report says

The nanny charged with the fatal stabbings of two young children in their luxury Manhattan apartment told detectives that she resented the family, who she said always told her what to do, a law enforcement official told the The New York Times.

Police interviewed 50-year-old Yoselyn Ortega on Saturday in her hospital bed at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, the Times reported. She was charged hours later with murder in the stabbing deaths of 6-year-old Lucia and 2-year-old Leo Krim.

Their mother, Marina Krim, returned to the Upper West Side apartment on Oct. 25 and found the bodies of the two children in the bathtub. Police said Krim found Ortega stabbing herself in the throat.

An official told the newspaper under condition of anonymity that Ortega told detectives that "Marina knows what happened." While Ortega acknowledged that she was in the bathroom, she did not confess to the killings, the official said.
