Al-Mustapha Threatens To Start Legal Actions Against Obasanjo Over Letter To Jonathan
Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, a former Chief Security Officer to former military ruler Sani Abacha, said that he was considering filing a suit against ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Al-Mustapha said this on Thursday in Kaduna during a media briefing.
In December Obasanjo in an 18-page-letter accused President Goodluck Jonathan of training snipers for the President.
He said he would take action on Obasanjo’s letter at the end of the investigation launched by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on the matter.
“The National Human Rights Commission is still investigating the letter he wrote to the president. When they finish, findings will be out and open to the public. And because of the sensitivity of the content of the letter and because we are also touched, certainly there are subsequent legal procedures to follow.”
Commenting on the current wave of terror in the country, Al-Mustapha said that Nigerians must join forces on the war on terror.
