When a fan afraid of Nigerians harassing Jide asked him to keep his struggle with the disease from social media, Jide pointed out that he was still rich despite his status. He also seized the opportunity to preach safe sex as popular Nigerian gay men Kenny Brandmuse and Jide Macaulay hailed his bravery.
