APC Reproduces Video Of Alleged Ekiti Polls Rigging For Broadcast

APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has distributed copies of reproduced video and audio clips of alleged electoral malpractices in the June 21, 2014 governorship election in Ekiti State to its governors for broadcast on their respective state televisions as documentary for the public.
The audio clip, which was recorded by one Captain Sagir Koli, who was at the time of the election an intelligence officer serving with 32 Artillery Brigade, which covers Ondo and Ekiti states, went viral when it was first released on YouTube over two weeks ago.
The decision to distribute reproduced copies of the audio and video clip was taken at a joint leadership meeting of the APC in Abuja yesterday, which was attended by the party’s presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); vice presidential candidate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo (SAN); APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, eight governors and other party stakeholders from across the country.
The party’s national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said the essence of distributing the audio and video clips was to avoid a future occurrence of the Ekiti episode particularly in the forthcoming general elections.
Mohammed added that copies of compact disc (CD) of the clips reproduced by the party have been given to APC governors including others stakeholders in order to show same on state-owned television stations as other media organisations refused to accept them from the party for broadcast.
